Our growing season is crazy but nice. We basically only have very cold winters and very hot summers. It gets to -40 during the winter and above 100 degress during july/ august. BUT it actually works out well. From May 10th-June 10th you can go out direct seed just about anything and it will go with no maintenance besides one or 2 weedings. We get light rains regularly in the spring and a big thunderstorm about once a week during the summer so water is usually not an issue.

Plus the soil around here is 2 feet deep of pitch black perfection where it has not been eroded. Wind never really gets above 20 mph unless we have severe storms.

I think Wisconsin is the perfect place to farm personally. All the bugs and weeds die in the winter for the most part lol.
