Anyway, my current thoughts of the the current LPR/DPR government is negative. But I will get to that later.

In the early stages of the conflict, those part of the movement were workers who were seriously concerned by the sudden coup and installment of pro-US/EU leader.

Eventually, more people joined and there was many leftists in the movement. Most were nostalgic of the USSR, but they were seriously supportive of leftist ideals.

As the movement grew bigger, there were battalions of leftists, mainly Leninist/USSR nostalgia ones. But as well as that, many conservative and nationalist ones grew on the same side. Meanwhile on the Ukrainian side, Neo-Nazis were offering a hand to the government to help them in Donetsk. This helped make the Separatist movement have a legitimate case.

As the conflict died down and stopped due to cease fire, the leftists were being turned on by the conservatives and nationalists, who were much closer to the current Russian government ideology, which supported the latter half of the movement's existence. The conservatives and nationalists filled up the higher positions of the newly formed governments. As the need for soldiers stopped, more leftists left (as many of the leftists were older people who were born in the USSR) and so now are not a majority. DNR recently banished the Communist Party from taking part in the government, and it's pretty likely the same might happen in the LNR.

Currently the DNR and LNR government is controlled by conservatives and nationalists who want the Russian monarchy back. Obviously why my thoughts are negative of the government.
