Why the hell are we spending so much fucking time on theories? Why are we debating whether marxist-leninist-maoist-anarchism is better than anarcho-stalinist-bunkerism? The revolution isn't even close to being here, the porkies are still having their brunch in their ivory castle playing golf with a diamond ball and no worries and we are only reading and discussing what will happen after the revolution? Are we afraid to be terrorists? What's going on?
The revolution will not happen automatically, the more time passes, the more we're pacified, the cold war made the leader of first world countries very good at avoiding revolution. Just throw some comfort our way and we'll be right back in our homes the same night. A year later most of the population will have forgotten this has ever happened.
Leo Hill
I don't think terrorism will accomplish anything. Revolution is not possible unless the majority of people are on board with it, and targeting innocents in order to scare people and push a political agenda is a good way to alienate practically everyone.
Jordan Russell
Is this COINTELPRO trying to "radicalise" me?
Elijah Roberts
Who said we'd target innocents?
Nolan James
That's what terrorism is.
Hudson Murphy
Porky ain't innocent
Angel Myers
Then it isn't terrorism.
Juan Perez
Then why are we afraid to be terrorists if it's not terrorism?
Jason Barnes
They are separate categories. I think you mean to ask "why are we afraid to be called terrorists?" For one thing, terrorism is never portrayed so lightly if labeled terrorism.
Ayden Murphy
Assassinations would be a good first step. Unfortunately there aren't any Lee Oswalds in the world today.
Easton Johnson
Terrorism is whatever the MSM says is terrorism.
Jaxson Clark
Because we tried the "dude forget theory, let's just DO SOMETHING" approach many times and it lead to results that many theorists were able to foresee.
We could have prevented the degeneration of the Soviet union, we could have prevented the bureaucratization of the unions, we could have prevented the dismantlement of the welfare system, we could have prevented Fascism, we could have prevented a lot of things but we didn't because instead of thinking and reading the Left wanted to act on an impulsive, emotional and short-sighted manner.
Ethan Kelly
top kek kiddo, people like you are why we need theory
Cooper Jones
No. It's not. Terrorism is using violence to achieve an ideological goal. Whether innocent lives are taken or not has nothing to do with it.
Also this
Jeremiah Bell
Well, we cant organize in here, thst would be ridicoulus, we have to rganize in real life, so the real question is: why arent you yet on a party or union, or both?
Zachary Phillips
Unpopular opinion: all victims of ideological violence are innocent.
Sebastian Thomas
Truth be told, I think a lot of us are so disillusioned with the inanity of real world politics that we want to just start from scratch, hence the taste for radicalism.
It tends to feel like the "social justice" fad has destroyed the left for the next twenty years, minimum.
Anthony Evans
Also this, jihadis are awful but literally anything violent that a Muslim does is terrorism while anyone else needs a high body count
Dominic Lee
If the revolution isn't even close to being here as you say then now is a good time for people to read theory to build support and counter-hegemony to make revolution.
Connor Miller
You can't even agree on what theory, when all I see the Left engages in is Ideological purity witch hunts and petty linguistic fights.
Connor Reed
Some of us are actually doing things. I am an active member of my communist party. I organize protests, crash NATO meetings, and our party has been able to organize students to stave off privatization of education for 3 years now.
If you are not in a party you literally contribute nothing, I want you to know this, no matter how much theory you read and get into abstractions it means NOTHING if not put into practice, and it is a useless ideology if it cannot be put to practice.
t.someone who has been doing this shit for 5 years.
Leo Butler
...
Eli Peterson
Yeah, its a non-sectarian board, different people have different theories about what's going to work. I think some have more veracity than others and advocate for those points of view. If you decide which theory you think is best join that party or work with those comrades who have like-minded views.
This is a board for shitposters, at least it spreads greater awareness about rev Left politics to normies and neckbeards who are thinking of going full fash.
If we want to evolve beyond being a dumpster for commie/anarcho shitposters we might want to think about what we can agree on and what we can't.
Sectarianism is putting your own needs and those of your group above that of the international proletariat not necessarily liking each other or an absence of differences, or even irreconcilable fundamental differences.
Kevin Fisher
That being said, its probably not going to happen
Jackson Cox
boy howdy, sorry for that there trigger son.
Oliver Moore
What party are you in?Just curious INB4 hello FBI etc.
Luis Martin
New Communist Party of Yugoslavia, but I am also a member of the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia since I am a young adult.
NCPY is mostly filled with war vets though so it is very inactive. UCYY does most of the action for the NCPY and itself, so it is up to the young people. There has been progress however, this year a decision was made that members above 60 in the NCPY step down, since they are mostly too old to follow current politics or are too old to participate in actions. They still fund the party however.
Sebastian Cook
I tottaly agree. BUT! Do you see any comfort comming? I don't! If you mean the comfort of going fullFascist, sure it can come. And that is both the reason we spread theory and the reason we don't become terrorists. You need to have as informed a populace as possible AND you have to keep from making them affraid of you (like those "radical" anarkids, burning banks thinking they achieve something, only to make people afraid of taking it to the streets).
We live in the information era. We need to adapt.
Oliver Moore
I can't stop shit posting, mr. general secretary!
Joseph Ramirez
have you considered seeing a medical professional? maybe you should get a daily dose?
Isaiah Sanders
bump! I am curious to find other organized comrades. Most Holla Forumsers don't do shit.
David Moore
I'm also from a far left party like you and we do the same kind of shit. But because we also fight for social justice and the actual communist party has an electorate of old and conservative people, we are called idpol.
James Johnson
define fight for social justice. The word has been so skewered in today's definition that it must be stated.
We fight for social justice as well, but we certainly don't partake in identity politics.
Bentley Fisher
Fight for women and lgbtq rights, euthanasia, legalization of soft drugs and the like
Aaron Ward
Nah, we certainly don't fight for that. But I respect you and your party as long as you put the class interest of the proletariat first.
I have to criticize you however, I think that you could be using the effort fighting for individual rights to push harder for the rights of workers. The opression of women and homosexuals have a class basis, because if you abolished the bourgeois there would be nobody to oppress and exploit these workers in the first place. second, I think this will draw many members that just do not care about class struggle or put it second place to their identitarian struggles, to put it simply it will bring attention away from worker struggle.
If you do not heavily regulate this your party will be dominated by idpol in 20+ years, this is my estimate. We actually had to have a purge in the party of idpol elements to get shit done because they were a bunch of fucking saloon socialists not willing to protest anything not related to their sexuality.
but you can worry about legalizing them once you are in power. Again, I think this draws attention away from class struggle.
Lincoln Walker
That's plainly bullshit. Even the American revolution was broadly divided basically into thirds between those that supported it, those that opposed, and those that were ambivalent.
Jayden Lopez
Che had his revolution with 25 people. Ha ha!
Isaiah Stewart
And now they're stuck with a reactionary document known as the US Constitution (because the articles of confederation could not enforce taxation) which not only protects plutocratic governance, but actively endorses it as election costs go up among other things.
A dose of what? Good fun?
Benjamin Morales
That doesn't mean the person using the violence was wrong to do so though.
Isaac White
Perhaps not, but wrong and right become very relative without even some form of context, and even then requires a subject's ambivalence about the verifiability of one's conclusions.
Jayden Harris
so what, faggot, it was clearly a successful revolution. the constitution they ended up with doesn't negate that fact you dumb asshole
Mason Evans
Of course they do. They are relative regardless of what people appeal to.
The understanding that two people can be perfectly good people who will yet kill each other and be perfectly right for doing so because of circumstances helps understand why the world is what it is.
Carter Walker
The American Revolution was a bourgie revolution, full of Propaganda.
So, we are to start spreading propaganda/information to create subjective revolutionary circumstances?
…
Isn't that what leftypol does?
Hunter Rivera
Yeah, the American revolution was about the rich not wanting to pay taxes and getting the lower classes to die for them, it wasn't exactly a working class triumph.
Kayden Taylor
We should be in agreement over this point. I did not mean to imply that because a victim is innocent that the other is somehow more evil by comparison. Rather, I meant to point out the similaritoes of ideology and religiosity, acting as if one were a divine instrument of God or some other such "paradise".
This is not my argument. Instead, it shows how even supposedly revolutionary elements of violence are also coherent with counter-revolutionary violences of the property-form.
Evan Barnes
Ah, fair enough then. I agree with that.
Liam White
this has moved me deeply
Easton Morris
...
Leo Bennett
I tend to agree with you but at the same time I think we would be better off finding ways to recruit than discuss the finer points of how the USSR fucked over the glorious anarchist socialist revolts and doomed us to eternal capitalism.
I'm not afraid of the idea of using terrorism but I don't think we have the proper resources to begin such a campaign.
Blake Sanchez
get banned again
Nicholas Jones
Don't hurt my feelings~
Xavier Baker
Anti-intellectualism is cancer. If you're going to mindlessly repeat the past because you're scared to push our boundaries into something new and full of potential, then you're about as useful to the left as a fascist thug is.
Elijah Bell
Same as Pure Intelectualism, you Inteligentsia!
Andrew Nguyen
So now we're back to: "Intellectualism is important, but we need to find the right moment to act." again. If somebody got something out of this cancerous thread please tell me.
Brandon Bell
There is no hope
Parker Hughes
Did reading Hegel teach you to mindlessly shit on strawmen, or is that self-taught?
