Is the moniker "alt-left" suitable for this board? Redpiller retards have been trying to claim it and maybe you ought to capitalize on it before the opportunity wanes.
It connotes many of the same qualities that demarcate the alt-right from establishment rightism. Roots in online culture, a youthful presence, an embracing of memes and new modes of social transmission, a rejection of whigism / "progressive values" - while averting all the altright baggage, by virtue of nominal / definitive constraints. Being left rather than right excises the suggestion of traditionalism, racialism, etc etc
I don't like it personally, but it's better than "brocialist"
I prefer new-old-left personally but it's nowhere as memetic

Far-left would be better.

How about RevLeft?

There are so many 'alternative' or unorthodox forms of left that that term just doesn't tell anyone anything other than you're not mainstream. Whoop-tee-do.
Brayden Ross
I dunno I like the term besides being an (un)orthodox Stalinist-Maoist everything is contradiction lol I read a blog post about the alt-left where it suggested that Third World culture is not compatible with the culture of the developed Left.
I don't see how that advances revolution or makes us much different from the alt-right. But, I like the idea if it smashes the religious cult of the "moral Left" as Jean Bricmont calls them.
Kayden Brooks
That would legitimize liberals as "left", they aren't, they're controlled (non)opposition
Benjamin James
Yeah but many people can't tell the difference bc of the bleeding effect associated with liberal and rad left positions.
Some liberals inhabit that grey area between radical left and liberal and give everyone a bad name. Sometimes the hardest radical leftists have to support a particular reform done by a liberal regime or government.
Kayden Bell
That's pretty good.
Jaxon Ross
The alt-right calls itself "alt" because they are hipsters. Not even specifically political hipsters, they're just better at being edgy and ironic than the rest.
We're not "alt", we're the original fucking left. The mentally unstable socjus freaks in academia are the "alt".
Grayson Diaz
I prefer classical-left
Jack Robinson
"alt-left" is extremely misleading. Socialism was and is the original left-wing. If anything the idpol-spewing "progressives" are the alternative to actual leftist politics.
Elijah Miller
The altright has distinguished itself from the neocons and evangelicals and libertarians that make up the GOP. They are young, internet savvy, and more influenced by European fascism and tradition. But the most important part is they are unashamed of being called Nazis or racists or extremists, the sjws pushed it to this point. Another thing is there complete and total victory at cucking all the other groups in the GOP.
Right now the left is defined by neo liberals, sjws, the corporate collge educated liberal elite that lives on the west and east coast. It is a real disaster if you are a real leftist. I feel the left really does need a radcial return to true leftism but nefarious elements of course have worked against it. This didnt stop the altright though, the altright created a sphere outside the mainstream corporate left media, on youtube and twitter and imageboards. the gatekeepers have no control now.
I dont know if you should call yourselves the alt left but leftism does need a rebranding for the 21st century like the altright did. You need to purge the left of neoliberals, sjw's, and whoever comes in your path, and not be ashamed of your political potions. If someone calls you a commie scream back "DAMN RIGHT IM A COMMIE"
even if you dont agree with the alt right, their tactics have been hugely successful
Maybe you can call yourselves the Orthodox left? Since you follow traditional leftism rather than the modern idpol infected one.
Zachary Gonzalez
Isn't alt-left just Not Socialism?

It would only be the logical conclusion of Holla Forums for it to become alt-left.
RIP in pizza Holla Forums
Leo Evans
neo-liberalism = right libertarianism (Pinochet and Raegan, privatization and union-busting) stop misusing the fucking term.
In the experience I have with marketing is easier to rebrand than to resell an old product Rebranding ourselves is way easier than purging the liberals out of our way
I like orthodox left better because the abreviation ORXleft sounds marketable but that'll require more tought
Brody Young
to most people far leftists are the radical menhating idpol feminists and we wuz
alt left are social conservatives but economic leftists, basically tankies, nazbols, non-racist nazis (those exist), maoists, stalinists and Useful Idiotists.
t. undercover in a nazi alt right youtube community
Jonathan Miller
It's not "traditional", it's evolved a lot too. Rather it's actively repressed by governments because even feckless far-left groups spread wrongthink.
The alt-right's supposed success (though I would still argue that Trump's MAGA memeing is unrelated) is because it can be as extreme and insane as it wants to be–all right-wing thought is useful to capitalism. It is not a threat to the status quo, because Holla Forums's enemy literally does not exist.

details m8 this sounds funny as hell

I think thatire than a name we should have a clear narrative. If I look at the left parties in my country they all seem to be out of ideas, which leaves the field open for neoliberals to push their ideology. Even people who lean towards leftism are just repeating capitalist propaganda at this point.
Imho this is happening because we lack incentive and perspective. On the one hand there are socdems who don't have any sort of program other than to weaken the blows of the economic crises, on the other hand there are one-issue splinter groups who want to further the rights of a certain minority but lack a greater perspective (intersectionalism need not apply). There is some legitimate outrage in places like Greece, Spain and Paris but all these movements are just people being pissed, they have now idea of what they actually want to accomplish and I don't see a good narrative developing from it.
Julian Murphy
I like calling myself a "retro-commie", or when I don't think revealing my power level would be well received, a "retro-leftie".
