Over the years Reddit has been my go to. Bored? Click on reddit. Read about politics and obscure identity stuff. Look at the same goddamn memes over and over again.
All my views for the past 5 years have been influenced in someway by spending several hours everyday there. But now I've gotten older. I can't seem to find the same joy in reading threads when they all seem the same. Different topics each time but the views/opinions/comments all follow the same structure. I can't quite explain it but no matter where I go on reddit it just blurs together.
I used to learn new and novel things on reddit. Now I can practically recognize every TIL on the site with the only things standing out being political controversy. It's just BORING. To put it simply. I am no longer interested by reddit.
I've now cut down going to it and recently I blocked the site entirely. I've read books, spent time on various chans (which manage to be somewhat interesting if not edgy).
I guess I can say my life is imporving. I'd like to quit the internet altogether for casual browsing. It adds nothing to my life at this point. My views are set. I don't give two shits on changing my opinions on stupid political shit when my opinion is worth jackshit.
Also worth saying that I don't really know where to go on the internet. With no central hub I can't really piece things together anymore, and I don't really know what to feel about that.

Sometimes I unconsciously type reddit.com into the searchbar and get surprised when it gets rejected by my web blocker.

So it took you five years to figure out that reddit is full of lemmings and cunts, congrats. At least you realized it at all.
As for finding a hub, that too is a pleb instinct. Lurk more, find the other chans, figure it out.

I found most of reddit's content to be insightful and interesting at one point in time. Now it isn't. My problem is it's all the same hive mind to me.
Chans don't really fill the void that reddit left. Now I don't know where to go. It feels like people here put so much effort into being edgy that they forget about quality content.

Okay but for real, why shouldn't I expect quality content on the sites I visit. I go to Holla Forums (cause fuck 4chan and it's horrid userbase) but just get bombarded by porn.
The only boards I find tolerable are drug boards on 420chan.
