INTP here, I'd say we somewhat border between "autism tier" and "people are just a game to me tier", I don't really feel any strong connection to people around me in general (for example when my mother died I felt pretty much nothing) unless I really put effort into the relationship and MAKE myself care. So I often view people just as things in my way - in my way to being autistic, keeping to myself, being lazy and playing videogames all my life, that is. I guess most INTPs growing up in the modern society realize that they are not wanted, decide at some point in their puberty "yep, fuck reality" and go build their life around their form of autism (doesn't have to be vidya or anime, though it is the cliché for a reason)
Less as an addiction, as most people see it, and more as an "chosen exile" as an alternative to how much living in this overly social and corrupt reality sucks.

But, of course: Maybe that's just me.
