Don't complain about that, it's always deliciously amusing.
Personally 'backhanded celebration of America' is one of my favorite musical genres
It's even worse with Woody Guthrie's This Land is Your Land. It's somehow understood as some sort of meek patriotic song, even though really it's about exactly what it says on the tin — Woody was a Communist.
A lot of folk songs from the 30's and 40's is like that.
Two of Guthrie's friends, Pete Seeger and Lee Hays, also wrote a lot of left-inspired songs like "If I Had a Hammer".
Compile me a list. Very curious non-American here. I've heard Bruce Springsteen but I wanna hear some more.
Yeah, even if one misses the point of the lyrics they're incredibly depressing taken at face value anyways.
Of course they only play the Wooah oh, part and not the part which says "Zombie nation".
Neil Youngs "Rocki'n in the free world"
Bugers wave american flags and rock out to it when it's literally a song about how shit america is.
Nazism, and fascism, themselves, are all about taking a geniune idea and degenerating it to suit bourgie needs.
Modern feminism is another example.
What did you expect?
They'll even try to make leftypol's memes theirs.
They'll tell you Orwell was a conservative and Stirner is the same as Ayyyn Rantlmao.
It's in the core of Capitalism it turn everything into a rotten zombie of it's previous self.
