i don't claim to know about the intricacies of economics so i can't respond to the price of healthcare, but i don't see what's wrong with current methods of taxation; you grow up in a society and, at least where i live, get free healthcare, welfare if you are elegible, have law and order maintained by police, emergency services avaliable to provide help if needed, and have the borders protected by the military, all maintained by taxation, and when you are able to make money yourself, you pay back into the society to maintain it. it's how the social contract works
