It was ok I guess.
The actor playing Iron Fist was OK when he was being a weird hippy guy but once he got to be a billionaire was just kinda there. Like, the story was all about him, following him and he was the driving force of it, but he was just kinda there.
Japanese warrior chick was shit but had a nice ass.
The nurse was back and was shoehorned into way too much of the story. Why did she go to China with them?
The antagonist was pretty shittily done and I think this is my main complaint with it. At first it's Madame Gao who apparently is a member of the Hand. Then she gets captured and it's some new guy Hand boss who is from a "Different faction" who is there for 3 episodes before dying. Then it's the creepy dad guy who was very obviously evil from the moment we met him for all of one episode. If they had just stuck to a villain then I think it would have felt less disjointed.
But that's just my take on the show.

Watched the two first episodes yesterday. I can confirm that it's pretty much trash. I have a hard time actually coming up with any positive things to say about it.

Getting out of prison and his rise back to power would be great. Compared to Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist an episode of Kingpin watching shit on youtube would probably be more enjoyable.

Not yet halfway through it. Fight scenes have inconsistent choreography. Like blowing through a half-dozen triad or security guards like it's nothing, breaking arms and legs in one scene, to backyard wrestling where he struggles with one slow-moving guy in another, just to fill up screen time. The asian chick fighting cage fighters is just ridiculous. Not just the choreography, but she out-wrestles muscle bound guys twice her size. If it was just that she was power-hitting with the force of a karate black belt, that would be one thing, silly, but easy to suspend disbelief. In one scene she gets trapped under an unconscious guy, but in her previous fight she out-wrestled an even bigger guy and threw him off her when he started tossing her around the cage like a pit bull with a rag doll. Stupid.

The show is filled with interesting plot directions that get tied up in stupid or rushed ways. It's like: here is an interesting challenge to overcome, here is some drama about the challenge, we're building up to an interesting resolution, lol, fuck you, only 2 minutes left in the episode, so we'll tie up that plot in the dumbest/shortest way possible and move on. Also, Buddhists don't seem to mind when you send multiple teams of hired goons to kill them, lock them up in a mental hospital and then throw them off the top floor of a skyscraper. All is forgiven.

Better in some ways to Jessica Jones. It's not very good though. That has nothing to do with Trump. Marvel needs to stop with this second string capeshit and make Doom happen. Tommy Wiseau would make an excellent half-gypsy magical Ironman.

Yeah, second half of season 2 Punisher is pure retardation, but I liked how they built him up in the first half as this mysterious, methodical force of nature only to then squander it all on muh feel tier bullshit.

It's very boring so far. I blame it on the acting and pacing, the writing isn't very good either. It feels like all it's doing is just giving Iron Fist a hasty introduction that not even they really cared about.

Purple Man's a good villain, and Jessica isn't as much of a shitty strong womyn character as you might expect. She has actual character flaws. Not just tee hee so quirky character flaws. She's a downright shitty person in a lot of ways, and the show acknowledges this.
As for the bad stuff: interacial breeding grounds, and a white cop character who becomes a murderous psychopath for totally contrived reasons.

No, it's an average Marvel show. I.E. it's not good.
It's meh, there are many pacing issue, like Luke Cage the plot is fucking inconsistent (X is the bad guy, ah no Y is the bad guy, ahah Z was the bad guy!). You can't have 4 betrayal and 3 main villains (with 2 reveals) in a fucking 13 episode show… And the fight are too. Some are really good but some are pretty bad. The character(s) (it's not just the Iron Fist) power chart is all over the place. I wonder if it's not because the well choreographed ones are made by a stunt double and some are made directly by the actors (which dramatically decrease their competence).
There are many nice ideas, but not many are exploited correctly.

Also the justification for the Iron Fist to be white is perfectly decent but could have been done better (life in the monastery was way harder for him, he was seeking actual meaning to his life, hence why he was chosen/got better over natives… also they took a random mutt to play a native Himalayans… but I bet no-one is shocked by that…). SJW are SJW.

So yeah it's not bad, it's better than Luke Cage IMHO, way better than Jessica Jones, but it's clearly under Daredevil S2.

Jones is shit in every way. She's not a hero, she doesn't rescue anyone. Jones is just a depressed drunk that screws everybody over. There is only one bad guy in the first season and she refuses to kill him. She even saves the bad guy's life. That's when I stopped watching. When characters are that stupid, I start to hate them and begin rooting for the bad guy. That’s always a sign of bad writing.
