Significantly less rules. Less PPH, I like it slower, I can actually watch a 2 minute video without coming back to read 100 posts. 8/b/ also provides some high quality memes.

slower, less dick rate threads less porn. not sure haven't been to 4/b/ since before Holla Forums existed. never gone back, never want to.

In 2014 we were polar opposites but as we have become halfchans dumping ground for everyone that is too stupid to ban evade we are now basically the same with the only difference being that there are boards the cancer doesn't know about here.

there are less threads that appeal to the lowest common denominator here (porn/roll/basic b8) and there's more discussion here

also the slower pace means you can actually go do shit irl or just play some vidya and still come back to the same thread and that's a plus to me

It's not like I don't like slower either, but there's difference between slower and dead. This place is pretty much stalled, and if it wasn't for the spam you'd see months old threads.

faster is better if you mainly want to just spectate, slower is better if you actually want to discuss/argue or just appreciate a specific topic instead of heaps of topics

The only difference between 4 and 8 anymore is that 4's mods are normies and our BO is a fucking autist of the worst order. He can't even decide which of his minds to make up.

What that means is that while 4 is now sanitized and predictable, 8 is constantly changing types of shitposts. PEdos, then no pedos, ponies then no ponies, animefags, then no animefags, ooops, here come the ponies again, now linkspammers get free rein, next week it is dataminers, and the week after that it is back to pedos again! WHeeee!!!!!!!

It is a misconception that there are fewer rules here. There are just as many as at 4, but here they just change every few days. It is annoying as fuck, even after you get used to it, and even if you are an autist already.
