As someone who worked at Walmart for two years before I found office work.
I worked grocery and filled other positions as needed and loved every day of it
Seriously, and I get sick of shit fast. Walmart can look like a shit tier place but it CAN be awesome. There was always hilarious stupid shit going on and every day was like comedy. Sure it's tough work, and you might not feel like a winner stocking booze and twinkies in front of people with great jobs BUT…
I have so many stories to tell my employers and friends at the business I'm in now, everyone wants to hear more and thinks it's great.
Example: I was in one recently that had a shooting, it was crazy watching the insanity, scrambling, all kinds of shit.
Also saw a guy in a trenchcoat detained under the claim of him stealing I worked partly with security&. Turns out he wasn't stealing and he screamed YOU AINT FUCKIN GETTIN ME ON DRUG CHARGES! then swallowed a large bag of heroin.
It's a mindset. Even a low tier job can be fun IMO. If I ever lost my current one I would go back to Walmart. It's just so absurd it never got old, and they let you know tons of fucking policies and you see some next level secrecy shit.
HOW DO I GET A JOB THERE?
I worked partly with HR and guess what: Only about 3% of people who apply get in. It's because they are fucking morons or socially inept. A lot can't even pass drug tests.
If you have even an inkling of ability to function in mainstream society and do a job, you will shine. You don't need to be great to work at a place at Walmart, you just have to do your job and keep busy. You will shine like gold in a sea of turds. They turned there heads all the time when I left early due to sickness or took days off.
I can't gurantee your experience will be the same, and there are always assholes in the chain of command. But there ARE chill people and they will respect your abilities if you just do your fucking job. And a lot of people can't without stealing or screaming at customers or stupid shit that gets you fired.
TLDR: Appreciate low paying until you get something better. There are hilarious places like Walmart.
Also, I worked HR for a bit as well in a R&D company. I am now learning to code. LEARN TO FUCKING CODE PROPER JAVA/C and you will be golden as well to employers. As much as you doubt it many would still rather hire you over pajeet. That's why it's hard as hell to find mid-high tier coders/enterprise development. They already have jobs.
Agree or disagree with me, this is the world I live in. Take or leave my experiences so far. I tried to help.
