During the final centuries of Atlantis there were basically three classes of people. Archaeology is not a science (just as history etc. is not). Not everything that does research is a science. It has to make testable and falsifiable (by experiment) hypotheses, at the minimum.
Archaeology can't do that. You collect evidence which sometimes contradicts itself (people can make mistakes, outright lie, or we can misunderstand them). Then, you throw away the most obvious bullshit and try to make sense of the rest by inference. The problem, of course, is that this can be jewed easily, far more than hard sciences.

The movie strongly implies americans (white americans to be more specific) being that prophecy, and furthermore building advanced stuff over their old lands, destroying/bombing the shit out of their sacred places, and bombing the shit out of the newly created places

It sounds pretty grim and anti-white but the other half of the movie ends with more upbeat music, showing how advanced and organized this new civilization is, and actually being quite good/benign and creating new "sacred" places while conserving the old ones

But at the very end, it seems these injuns had more writing on the wall, including themselves, implying these new advanced ways will also get wrecked if they keep "inviting disaster by overtaking nature"

That's a resumed perspective, in the end it's just a visual experience with no racial meaning. Movie didn't invent anything but it highly popularized some ideas, and the music is top notch

Damn. Everyone should watch this documentary. Carl Munck seems sage-worthy and I couldn't find much substance debunking him or the actual math (though, of course, the word "debunked" auto-completes after his name).

So I watched the entire six hour or so documentary that's getting some action in here (Carl Munck's "The Code") and am now itching for more analysis of this topic. Although I hadn't given 'Atlantis' (or whatever it is often proclaimed to be) much thought prior to clicking on this thread, that video really solidified the notion that there was an ancient civilization that built these pyramids and other structures that would last for ages at coordinated points across the globe. I looked up information about any potential debunking of the math, but there's nothing of substance and the mathematics of the structures seems fully legit. The way they all line up and point to or signify the dimensions of each other is insane.

I feel like I need more, but there seems to be a ton of bullshit out there on Atlantis. Not sure what to trust or waste time on. Munck's Red Ice podcast was also a major let down.

Because entirely far too often to just be coincidence, the dimensions in feet of various parts of different monuments will reference constants relating to other monuments raised or lowered by factors of ten. Using a different measurement standard, you would still have the angular information and could still correlate some of the works, but using specifically the foot and the mile many many more relationships show themselves. In fact in several cases monuments will with angles reference the grid value of another distant monument, and with dimensions in feet reference the precise surface distance between the two in miles. Or how the dimension in feet of a terrace of an Amerindian pyramid references the speed of light in miles per second. All these constructions seem to at the very least reference their own location with the prime meridian adjusted to the great pyramid at Giza, but often also reference the grid values of other monuments and sometimes reference the specific relationship between the foot and mile, and their relationships to other constants and dimensions of celestial bodies.

As stated, if Munck's work is to be trusted, which I think it is, it's entirely possible that the Freemasons in fact did either discover some of this information, or held onto a tenuous thread of the past through their deep obsession with building, geometry, symbolism and oral tradition. They then pushed for that standardization to ensure the key to this very strange ancient code at the very least wouldn't die with them.
