- build a social dam against the front national
- taxing the corporations who does not raise employment
- the bank thing it was hard, with investment funds and all
- level the GDP by 3% or something
- stop racism against antisemitism
- give marriage for all the right to be gay
- make women egalitarianism
- stop terrorists

Listen to your momma
It is true yo I am cool like Obama
I have got class and they mad
Do not listen to the haters

Is it just me or does it smell like Holla Forums in here?

Shitposting aside, here is the situation in France : the government wants to pass a labor law which would make class struggle easier for the capitalists (because after all they are the "socialist party"). But the majority of the deputes don't approve it, so the gov are using an old trick, the 49.3 article of the French constitution.

This article allow the government to pass a law without using the parliament to vote it (because after all this is a "democracy"). The only thing the deputes can do is to support a "motion de censure" (don't know how to translate it sorry) to counter the 49.3. If 58 of them support it 24 hours after the use of the infamous article, then the government must dissolve itself. Problem is, a lot of the deputes are within the same party as the gov, so they face exclusion if they stand for what they believe.

People have been protesting against the use of the 49.3 in front of the french national assembly, and got welcomed with teargas. After all this I don't understand how some people around me can't realize that our system is fundamentally broken. Some just say "wait for 2017 and vote, here lies your true power :DDD".

So 49.3 is basically threatening a suicide bombing of the party if the bomber doesn't get his way?

More of a suicide bombing of the current government, but yeah it would have repercussions on the party as well. During the history of the fifth republic, this article was used quite some times, and never resulted in a dissolution of the gov.

Also a quick correction : if 58 support the motion, then the motion is eligible to being voted, and then half of the parliament must vote in favor of it.

How can there be a constitutional article that basically allows to bypass parliamentary voting?

Is it time for a sixth?

Because it's 2016.

Some french leftists are in favor of it (Mélanchon during the 2012 campaign for example). If it become a reality, then the goal of the sixth have to be the implementations of a more direct/participative democracy in my opinion.

I'd say it's probably something put in the constitution from the Cold War.

You know, fire da nukes and shit like that.

i guess it's an emergency thing, in case of war etc.
they did the same shit here in Greece.

Frog here.

Capitalists are waging a war against workers, you know that, but in France, the left, the political side that was supposed to support the workers in that struggle decided that it would be easier to just give free shit to people in exchange of votes.

What they are doing now if fighting the war of the working men against the bum, and they are on the bums side.

So, not only we have to deal with capitalists that have no opposition, we also have to deal with always raising taxes to pay for the bums.

To give you an idea of how socialist the party is, they are making a law to deregulate the work market. Bosses will be like gods after that.

I am the working man. I mush choose who will get my vote. On one side, I can support the capitalists so I will be even more fucked. On the other side, I can support the bums and be even more taxed. What other choice do I have?

Centrists? Please, they just say nice things on television to get vote from deceived old people.

Far left? We have literally Stalin there. It used to be a good party with great initiative and militant base, now it is the personal party of Mr Stalin.

Even more left? Those are the guys who just want to see the world burn. They don't even supports bums at this point, they just want the whole thing to burn.

Greens? Why not. It was an option but it is now clear that they are just as corrupt than all the other politicians and say lefty things only to serve their personal interest. Their vote base is the equivalent of your bleeding heart liberals. The only good thing to say about them is that at least this cancer won't propagate to the rest of the left.

The only other option is the far right. They know they are the only other option. Their social program is a socialist one from the 60's and now the lower class and the young vote for them. To not make things better, we have a social crisis ongoing and they are the only one to even acknowledge it.

How do we fix this mess? The hell if I know, some VIth republic projects were not so bad. Don't place too may hope in a bloody revolution, even if it happen, the left won't win it.

No. It is a very normal thing used 100 time a year to pass laws. Most of the time we don't even know it.

It is something placed in the constitution by the general De Gaulle. The guy was basically Napoleon and wanted a way to solve crisis. You must know that the IVth republic constitution was written by Americans to make France vulnerable to crisis, and this is what happened with the war in Algeria. De Gaulle refused to even help as long as the constitution was unchanged and finally we gave him what he wanted and that was a strong executive power.

The front is rising because of reasons. Ignoring the problem only make things worse. The government just have to do its job and fix the communitarianism problem and send criminals in jail and the front will loose 50% of its votes. Making a "democratic" dam only prove that the right and the left is in fact the same thing and deception from both side is what fuel them. We have made a ton of dam against them and they grow bigger every time.

Taxing more corporation in their difficult time is not a good thing for unemployment, we should tax the shit out of some business, like cigarette, oil, pharmaceutical and most importantly banking but just bashing all the company will destroy the economy.

Hu? There is plenty of plans to keep banks in line but no one will do it because they are friend with the big banks.

Why didn't thought of it?

"communitarism repli" (people identifying less and less as a french and more as their origin) find his source in the non integration if the recent immigrants. Go tell them that they should feel like French. The Israel-Palestine only make the thing worse because it give them a place in an ongoing fight. Arabs are more and more antisemite; Jews are more and more islamophobes and no one will ever tell them to shut the fuck up and to feel french. Instead, we have a constant propaganda about how we should tolerate anything and everything. This is not working.

Done. What will it change anyway?

Feminists won't allow it. You have to know our feminists don't even allow men in debates or if manifestations. They don't exactly like men and they think equality is when others are forced to give you everything you need.

Why didn't we thought of it? We are becoming a police state because of that and it don't work. Should we engage the martial law?

Debt, commercial balance, social instability, unemployment… Yes it is, on all level.

…It's satire, dude

Is the PCF really that bad of a party? Has it not learned it's lessons from May 68?

Abstention, and then revolution.

Who are you talking about? The NPA?

The communist party died decades ago. Mitterrand, a socialist president destroyed it because then he would get a large share of the voting base. The fall of the soviet union do not help. They stagnated at 2% or something and finally merged with New anticapitalist Party, led by a young and catch leader.
Now they don't make a lot of % and they never engage in nothing constructive. It's for young people with short attention spawn and it start to get deep into identity politic.

Abstention does not work. We have 50% abstention and it change nothing. Most deceived people choose that and the train of the politic roll over the rails of their apathy.

Well isn't it good that the old Stalinist party from the 20th century has died out? It means the left can start all over again?

It make people question traditional politics. Once we hit 80-90% it will trigger a massive happening, if we keep voting we give the government the legitimacy they need to rule over us.

No, it won't. We used to say the same about the 50% limit.

Rules are rules and if people could not even take a walk and put a letter in a box, they won't give their life for some shady ideal.

There is still powerful parties to prevent you from starting a new one.

this is all very odd how the left stalemated themselves.
Hows the anticapitalist party anyway?

Croâ croâ croâ croâ croâ croâ croâ croâ. Croâ croâ croâ croâ?

Croâ croâ croâ croâ croâ croâ.

They are against everything done by the government. They are trying to build a dam right now. You think they would approve because it is cheap, green, renewable and all? Nope. They find reasons to protest against it. When asked about how we should produce electricity they just answer that we should consume less.
We send our army all over Africa to stop civil wars and the formation of new ISIS. Against.
The only thing they are for is immigration. Their policy on that is just to remove borders. I asked them if they understand it would mean the end of welfare and retirement they banned me and deleted my messages. If you want to contest, a very popular thing in France, join them.

I forgot the pirate party. They are so small they don't even get a representative everywhere and allied with other small parties like weed without borders and other one issue party that have nothing to do with digital rights. The only thing they have in common is a far left rhetoric.

Feel good man.

Thank god, if it weren't for them we might have had a French Socialist Republic in 1968.

Maybe now the french workers can build an organization that actually fights for them, instead of the status quo and fellating "the progressive bourgeoisie".

Could it be that capitalism causes the same problems everywhere and neoliberalism is global?

Also, don't worry. Every "democracy" has this "immidiate" procedures to pass laws.
Greece for example did it several times to pass the economic messures required and so on.

"We have democracy, unless the people want to go against the "markets".

CAPITALISM!

NOPE! those who support the system will keep voting and that is more than enough for the system.

Unless… people start voting something that doesn't fit the system… and the system gets worried…

Especialy, if it's in the second core of EU, France. (I have no hope for a change in Germany).

...

But the very fact that you can vote for this "something" is proof that it is already in the system. I am not saying that the government will dissolve itself when they will see that only 10% of the people voted. I am saying that the people themselves will no longer see this government as legitimate, and will take on the streets to take part in direct action.

PURE IDEOLOGY AND NEW AGE BUDHISM BS!

You have too much faith in humanity.

Well, those same people deserve the shit system they live in. I mean, its like hearing slaves defending their slave owners.

Ultimately, killing off the human race would do the most good.
Killing the capitalists, their defenders and apologizers is the ideal, however you will need to kill off every hopeless "muh free market, family values, tradition, nationalism, employment in corporations is fair even if they pay you $1.00/hour or less".
I mean, too many people are hopeless and permanently ideologically fucked.
Killing them along with the capitalists and the governments, clergy would bring a better society.
Or a better society is impossible and killing off the human race would at least let the Earth heal.

The solution to the minimum wage is the basic income.

isnt le pen economically progressive?

Go away pol pot.

Le Pen advocate protectionism, but she isn't a socialist.

The "socialists" would never allow it because then their vote base would have to find a complementary source of money. It's take all you can, not from each according to it's means to each according to his needs.

If going back to the 50's/60's is what you call progressive, yes.

I am into decreasing but they just want to shut down everything.

Oil and gas? Pollution and social cost on the middle east and Russia, not mentioning all the wars.
Coal ? Ho god.
Nuclear? Don't get me started here.
Solar? Social cost to make them and all the polluting chemicals plus it create the need for batteries.
Wind? It killed a bat once.

And they tell you that while smoking a cigarette. This is just crazy.

You don't extract uranium of get huge plantations for rubber or chocolate in a country ravaged by a civil war, and porky want his uranium.

We are not doing it for free, but no one will. At least, they get to stay alive and don't have to live under some milice law. Do you have an idea of the number of ethnic cleaning we stopped? When one happen we are blamed because we did nothing.

On the other hand, this is exactly what our Swedish Democrats claimed and now their economic policy is literally word by word copied from the Association of porkies.

Holy shit! Politicians lie! I have to tell wikileaks!
Now, I have to admit, I never saw a politician crying live in television just because things don't go as well as they wanted. Your politicians are a little different.

And that is why reformism doesn't work, you have no guarantees that your special snowflake candidate will deliver.

Swedish Democrats aren't reformists

Ok, my bad, I meant reformism in a broader sense, as in "I will vote for this candidate because he will implement this and that etc…". Be it right or left wing.

It's over, the new labor law is adopted : 20minutes.fr/politique/1844507-20160512-direct-manifestations-motion-censure-climat-tendu-autour-loi-travail
Not a big surprise, a lot of the deputes are in the same party as the government. They think about their political careers first.

What's wrong with that?

By the way, why greens are so butthurt about nuclear energy? Isn't it the most good source of energy in terms of efficiency/greennes? I know that they will scream MUH CHERNOBYL on top of their lungs, but it is as retarded as closing chemical industry because of Bhopal catastrophe.

Camarade, il y a une AG ce soir aux beaux-arts de Paris. Si tu es dans la région, n'hésite pas à y aller. Il est temps que l'immobilisme de nuit debout cesse et que le peuple s'organise.

It's because of nuclear waste I think.

Merci pour l'info.

They only needed two more voices. It is not adopted yet but there is only formalities now. The last law of that kind went as far the the desk of the president and lacked only a signature to become a law but Chirac never signed it.

The risk of an accident is small but the consequences are big. It work like for transport: everyone worry about planes while it is the safest way to travel because every two years a big one crash and it is in the news for a week.
And yes, the waste is a problem. We can delay it a few millennials with our current techs but others people will have to deal with it and the former plants can't be totally removed.

what the hell is going on?
activists and antifascists are been told they can't attend demonstrations?
