I'm not quite sure what you mean by "similar to a trading card game" but you might like to give "Caravan" from Fallout: New Vegas a try IRL. Seems like it could be at least moderately entertaining.

It's pretty easy once you get enough cards together. Stack nothing but 4s, 6s, and 10s for an easy victory against the poor AI. You can buy everything you want from a vendor and then Caravan all your money back. It's pretty dumb.

Bourré is a game that has gotten NBA players violently mad at each other, so that's worth something. That and Oh Hell are both fun for their reliance on being a dick to other players as an important game mechanic.
