Primitivism was a mistake.
I'm mildly supportive of that kind of thing, doctrinally at least, but not because of retarded environmentalist deep ecology bullshit. I just think that we'd all be better off letting this madness end already. Even if we achieved full communism, life would still be miserable, even if our day-to-day lives were easier and more fulfilling.
Comrade, there's good things to look forward to.
Interesting point of view. And i agree with what you said.
Despite my flag, ecology isn't the only reason why i like that idea, maybe not even the main one.
I actually still struggle to define what i am, what my believes should be called. Maybe you can help me with that.
Your flag for example says "anarcho-nihilist", which judging by that name could be close to what i believe in too. But i don't really know, since i've never read anything about anarcho-nihilism, and i know labels can be sometimes confusing and just hearing a name of something can give you a wrong impression. I'm sure i would have to study some thick books to understand people's ideologies on this board.
I think i kinda agree with things such as socialism and anarchism, but probably not that deeply as most people here. Let me explain.
For example i would like some kind of anarchist society without formal state, but i somehow doubt that will ever happen. But on the other hand i think that's not important. I think that more important than reaching that goal is trying to get to it. For me anarchism and socialism are more methodology than ideology. For me it's about the process, not the goal. I'm not sure that perfect society is possible, but i believe that we can make the world a better place by working towards it. Just trying to get to it can make a lot of things in this world better. I think sometimes can be some process useful even if it will never finish. It is not the destination that matters, it is the journey.
What do you guys think mindset like that could be called?
Why not borderline dystopia AI instrumentality?
Are there comrade? Are you sure about that?
I think they need to make a more proactive statement so to speak.
Not sure if want.
I think that not procreating is active enough comrade.
I'm all for anti-natalism but their reason is spooky as fuck.
Did everybody just tl;dr my post
?
The movement is undialectical for rejecting change and flow of matter. What is ecology if not the study of the flow of organic material in the nature?
Humans already modify the environment around them. From naive and phenomenal they can move through education to conscious labor in the changing of the environment.
Of course in the current capitalist socio-economical systems they reach these conclusions about populations and how bad effects it has.
But it is an error to make this generalization to any socio-economical system.
They are making the same mistake like Malthus was making. Malthus did not account for saltpeter and then mainly the Haber-Bosch process which created billions of people literally out of thin air.
Look at r9k to see what actively not procreating looks like.
This.
Is that the train coming at us at the end of the tunnel? Or is it merely a mental projection of someone who hasn't looked backwards before?
Yes, comrade. Your life is precious. See to explore and help others.
[BUZZWORDS INTENSIFY]
I think people that support this movement should take incentive and weed themselves out from the gene pool.
Those of us who are not blinded by idealism are welcome to participate in practical politics.
wew lad
I think it's just a cave.
Of course life that already exist is precious, but that doesn't mean we have to create more of of it. It was never about killing ourselves, it's just about not making more babies, because there is already too many of us on this planet.
I see nothing nothing wrong with /r9k/ :^)
Read these:
+ Nihilism, Anarchy, and the 21st century
+ Anarchy and Nihilism: Consequences
+ The Ego and Its Own
+ I Am Also a Nihilist
+ Toward the Creative Nothing
+ The Revolutionary Catechism
They are on the anarchist library.
Thanks. I'll try. We'll see if i'm still able to read more than just few lines of text.
I once had the thought that we mostly work for future generation instead of our own. If everybody on the planet agree at the same time to not procreate, we could use the remaining resources to party until we are all dead. So I agree that the resources/humans ratio must be maximized, but I won't enforce non procreation like China did in the past because muh freedom.
You'd just wipe out the people who are conscious of these issues, leaving the selfish bastards.
Dialectics states you are wrong. DIALECTICS SAID IT, NOT ME!
Dialectics is a pseudo religion.
We are not our (potential) children.
No it's not. It's just misused and emptied out by idiots. Same with SCIENCE!
It's okay, you just need practice.
Nihilism was a mistake
Evola was such a faggot for calling Nietzsche a nihilist.
The meme appearently caught on.
That guy ought have been hanged tbh
Environmental protection is a very poor reason to promote human extinction. Without the intervention of intelligent life, every species on Earth will be totally extinguished about 6 billion years from now when the Sun reaches the end of its life and expands into a red giant.
If you're talking about making an entire sapient species extinct and you aren't thinking at least 10 billion years into the future, you're doing it wrong.
You watch too much sci-fi mate.
We're part of the natural world as well. We're also Earth's children. It doesn't have to come to that. We can fix this. And as I said before in reply to that guy who said we might as well end all of this (with whom you shared your sympathies), there are still good things. All life means suffering, this is inescapable, but we can still learn to be happy.
Word of advice of someone who has read everything that mister possible final nihilist guy has recommended here.
After reading ALL that shit, ALL forms of fun/pleasure can be reduced to mere chemical reactions that serve as a reward system to the slavery of your subconscious. You will consider existance meanigless in all forms and question everything for their lack of value and if they in the end mather for you like your relation to your boyfriend or girlfriend or hobby's or whatever you do that makes you.
Stirner is the end game of all that literature tho, changing no value towards subjective value of utilizing all property to serve your ego'istic interest.
I also recommend ''Fathers and Sons by Turgenev to see where the whole Nihilist movement of Russia came about.
Also here are the books.
...
Also here are two introduction texts and one audio intro to stirner.
One intro is from the Anarcho-Individualism folk, other is from insurrectionist's and the audio one is a Liberal his interpretation of Stirner.
It's a hell of a lot more likely than you managing to convince everyone on Earth to stop reproducing.
No. They're all liberal moralists and pretty annoying in general. There's also a bunch of shit about them I forgot that makes me not like them.
Antinatalists shouldn't all be moralists. That goes against le "life is bad" shit.
Do you NOT want to liberate the proletariat of other worlds? What the fuck is the matter with you?
I'm down with it. Humans are disgusting. Dogs on the otherhand…a dog would never exploit my surplus labour :')
...
Whats even the purpose of tha last part.
The big critique of that idea and VHEM is that a voluntary basis won't prevent other people from breeding. So instead of this sort of personal stance, we can tackle the problem of population growth through education about the population problem and contraception, increase access to contraceptive and abortive methods (incompatible w capitalism however). We need to understand from the get-go that any natal policy cannot be enforced, it has to have some community-ethical basis (this pre-supposed a community-ethic, and a community, these things need to be made somehow [revoluushun]). Gates Foundation is way ahead of us actually but they are being complete inhuman porkies as per usual.

Farm commune w me pls. It seems that many high-minded, heart-in-the-right-place communists think that we can outright eliminate suffering. We can eliminate a lot of it, and maybe eliminate alienation (like 99% of the purely useless suffering), but there is still hard work to be done, our bodies are still mortal.
That response makes zero sense and doesn't even address the claim.
Why are you still alive?
People who are anti natalist for humans (I certainly am), shouldn't we apply the same logic to animals and other sentient beings? Is not the animal life full of pain, suffering, and likelihood of getting killed horribly?
Shouldn't we extend this compassion to animals and trigger their extinction in a humane reasonable way like our own?

I'm just trying to stop overpopulation of the Earth. I'm not trying to end all suffering in the world. I guess that's you goal, but not mine.
Whats the point of this?
There is literally no reason to protect life if not for your own species. The earth will go extinct anyway in a few hundret million years due to expansion of the sun.
If anything, promoting technology and progressing technological advances of the human species helps our distantly related spider and tree cousins to spread to other planets.
Not that it matters of course. Anthropomorphising nature itself is really fucking autistic and thinking that humans are not part of nature and thus should be removed is even more human centric than caring about humans over other species.
