I took a philosophy course that was extremely neutral to everything. The professor would present an idea one day, then tear it apart the next day. The entire thing focused on tearing apart arguments and forming arguments.

As for trades, we've seen time and time again throughout history that you can temporarily emphasize other roles in society that do not produce anything of value but always this will eventually fail and social necessities will place selection pressure for those who do real work producing real substance of value. Trades will be increasingly valued and a lucrative occupation in the future. I qualify this only that it will be tempered by the extent to which automation can replace some jobs. Work which involves some level of creativity and to some extent dexterity will always be more difficult to automate. Most trades do involve this to some extent, automation is most likely to be applied in niche applications across all industries, all occupations, only where it is cost effective to do so. So trades should be safe and will be in greater demand in the future.

As for online education I'm not referring to some fake money grabbing college like Phoenix University, I refer instead to MIT OpenCourseware, Coursera, World-U, Khan Academy, youtube, and knowing how to ask questions on google. This path is not appropriate for all fields of study but it is more than possible to get a job based off of self study and experience from personal projects. Many large tech companies for example don't necessarily look for a degree, they look for someone who can do the job.

As for new institutions, eventually some enterprising anons will realize there is money to be made in real education and they will found new schools that aren't pozzed and don't demand an arm and a leg. So long as they maintain academic rigour, they can gradually build student and industry recognition. There seems a real demand for something like this.

Some people just dont like nor do well in school, but learn much better in the field. Most people in the trades are hands on people. Also, in some trades, such as with electricians, one can get training specifically for that trade while still on the job. I worked as a union carpenter for awhile and as part of my deal with the union I had to go to carpenter school one week every 6 months as part of my apprenticeship. Let me tell you, I hated it. I wouldve rather been back on the jobsite. This sentiment was shared by pretty much all the other guys in class with me. Ive talked to guys from other trades, they feel the same. We all got thru the lame school and got back on the jobsite. I didnt learn shit. I learned everything on the job.

Trade schools already exist, and those who attend them do very well for what they go for (if the vocational school isn't shit, that is).

Universities have always been and need to be places where liberal arts in the classical sense are taught towards the future intellectual leaders of society. The modern regressive liberal has made such places into their hives of indoctrination - like my college is becoming.

The solution? Colleges will respond to losses in income, and they make their money by student enrollment and alumni donors. Both groups on the whole tend to respond negatively to outbreaks of SJW bullshit - look at the funding and enrollment at places like Rutgers, Mizzu, Yale, and so on where the regressives have tipped their hand too far. They have dropped significantly.

Frankly some colleges will have to die in spectacular fashion in order for the rest to realize, through sheer survival necessity, that they need to excise the tumors of SJW types residing in their halls. And they will - colleges are run by businessmen, and their sole goal is to make profitable institutions. They only defend SJW's because they believe the wild threats such people make that they will destroy their profitability on the way out, or they simply don't realize their drops in enrollment arise from their corrupting influence.

I think the solution is to put the SJW's into the spotlight, either by direct exposure and investigation or by simply letting them march about and do stupid things in the public eye. Apart from removing a lot of congestion in the system as well as competition for locals, all the universities and other institutions who have become dependent on them as a cash cow will have to hard-reset and tailor their outfit towards the average local student again. Finland's education system remains largely uncucked and thus is widely regarded as among the best in the world.

But here in burgerland, at least 40% of required classes are humanities and "viewing the wider world" bullshit classes that are required to obtain your degree, regardless of whether you're studying STEM or not.

Look at how many classes non-related to my degree I have to take to graduate.

My only option in those cases is to choose the least cucked ones. I'm sure mine isn't all that bad actually, but I know other colleges are just absolutely horrible in that regard.

My suggestion, end the school program at 13, then ages 14-18 trade-school/ apprentices for normal students and the 'college' for smart students.

Unless your kid is seriously gifted and/or independent, don't let them drop out and do their own thing. Make sure they secure as many scholarships as possible, and start working once it will behoove them.

Community Colleges have a lot of gems in the rough tbh. Saves you time and money going into one of their programs which often times, at least for trades, is the only time you'll be able to get any sort of theory.

What's cool about it is that because of the closeness with which CC's operate with the community you'll typically get instructors that have been around the block and are not completely theory.

Basically this my brother is a Welder who graduated from a Tech school. The only useful thing he says his school did was introduce him to people who helped him get into the trade. I am trying to become a chef. I did half a year of school for it and what I learned was either get a management degree or get into the field and learn because you'll waste money cooking at school.

If a kid isn't an ivy leager or a scholarship winner, the absolute best route is to either get generals out the way at a CC first, or just learn a trade at a CC. Everyone I grew up with who did that is 500% better off than people who went straight to college. Their degrees are realistic degrees that earn money too, not fantasy liberal arts degrees
