I found these quick rundown from a 4chan archive,. so how much of these were true?

After the Step-dad left mom began entertaining several men a week and she and Katelyn fought about it and the mother agreed not to bring random men home anymore
The mother moved a new boyfriend in just before Christmas
Girl was supposedly pretty smart, honor roll, in a gifted program
Trailer had the water and power being cut off regularly, as the mother did not pay her bills, they were behind in the rent
The trailer had no working heat only a single portable heater
None of the rooms had doors, just sheets
She occasionally went without food in order to provide her siblings with what they did have
The Georgia DFCS was involved with the family and was aware of the problems but the case worker signed off that everything was OK and that living conditions were good, even though she never did a home visit
She was bullied at her old school because of her clothes and not being able to regularly bathe
She was failed by everyone who was supposed to help/care for her

When I first heard about Dolly here, I said, "Meh, who cares?" And I went about my day. When I discovered these threads popping up, and I saw her face for the first time, it nearly gave me a heart attack. Because she reminded me of my girlfriend. And the more I read about her, the more I realized the similarities between them.

Katelyn was 12 when she killed herself; my gf was 12 when I first met her through mutual social circles. They both have black hair and blue eyes. Katelyn lived in a North Georgia trailer, and so does my gf.

I'm sure if I had continued SSRIs I'd be dead right now. My bet is most suicidal depressions can be managed with exercise and focusing on positive goals while learning to actively break from negative thought loops.

It's always better to figure out how to deal with things yourself rather than rely on a crutch like drugs. For example, it's better to learn how to cook than just eat all your meals in restaurants.
