Is this what schizophrenia looks like? "Mandela effects" (assuming it's not people with bad memory) usually retroactively change old sources. You can't find any articles on Nelson Mandela's retconned death, nor can you find any books printed as Berenstain because they never existed in this reality. If you can still find incorrect sources from years ago, chances are they were wrong back then.

We have advanced a shitload since the invention and popularization of stuff like MRI, so it's only natural new books on anatomy can be more detailed and accurate. The only person with some minimal formation in medicine in the thread admits this has always been the same way, and that some of the older illustrations are plain wrong.

It seems like people at Reddit are amazed at the concept that science may not always be right on the first try, and that "facts" get continuously updated as we get better tools to source our knowledge. No wonder why many of them happen to be LOL SCIENCE IS AWSUM advocates who memorize obscure quantum facts to appear smarter amongst their pals while at the same time ignoring basic Newtonian mechanics. Maybe I'm alone here but I've always found Marie to be a rather plebeian, generic choice. A Reddit choice, if you will.

The reason 9gaggers, Redditors, and Facebookers like her is because "she looks like a punk rocker, and punk rockers are cool and sexy lol". That's it. Nothing about her personality, just the way she looks.

May is the patrician's choice. As shown throughout the episodes (like the Valentine's day one), she is the only Kanker who isn't always bitchy/trashy and actually cares about others at times (as shown by her near-genuine, almost touching relationship with Edd in that episode).

that one was in TVP. That's probably the most natural feeling drawing program I've ever used for some reason. It's not terribly user friendly and is more or less an animation program though.

Wish I had that level of patience and self control. You also have to be careful you don't become a fix up artist in that time.. It may be a tad dramatic, but knowing when to stop is like an art in and of itself.

I suffer a bad case of deviantart artist syndrome. That is, even if my picture is shit, I usually think it looks great, and keep thinking so for a long, long time. Only long time hindsight makes me understand what's wrong, and even then I'm still pretty easy to satisfy.

Try not to lose that but always be open to critique, that of course doesn't mean to take every bit of criticism. Sometimes the people giving it have no idea what they are talking about. Still, it's better to like your work than to grow to pick every bit of it apart. I'm recovering from that myself as I went to old /ic/ where it was basically a mantra of acknowledging how shitty you were than the things you were doing right. It creates a very pessimistic outlook on ones art and though you may even be considered above average, you still won't be satisfied with anything.

I always avoided strictly artist-centrict places and boards, it's my impressions that they are filled with cynical snobs who despise everybody, including themselves and enclose themselves in pillow-filled hugboxes lined with passive aggressiveness and self loathing. I'd rather hear "you're terrible, kill yourself, stop drawing forever" from a non-artist than "practice more" from an "artist".

That does, however, mean that I can never get adequate criticism from anybody. I basically beg people to criticize my pictures, but most of the time they seem to be too… I don't know, "afraid to offend me"? It seems that, consistently with stereotypes set by DA and tumblr, everybody assumes that liking to draw = being a pissy faggot who cries at every mention of their imperfection.

Authors get the same thing. It's never a dedicated critique of content, it's always "This is terrible" or "Everything you do is awesome!" with very nonspecific advice to practice or read more.
