Oy. I got so focused on posting the pics I forgot to explain.

His name is John Campbell and this is webcomic, his claim to fame is going nuclear after an unsuccessful kickstarter of his book, which led him to delete all of his online content.

All of it.

this is all of the archive, as far as comics go, I have some other stuff of his too. I'll post it later.

I wish he wasn't sort of mad (all that thinking he's a woman), I really enjoyed his work.

Is this the one that burned the kicksyarter books?

Yes.

These comics aren't the product of a stable mind, if he wasn't insane they wouldn't be good.

I don't understand half of these. Are they supossed to be funny because they are absurd?

They aren't supposed to be funny. It's just the artist venting about his misery.

He's part of that clique of pretentious artists/writers of "quirky" comics. Y'know, those webcomics that try to come off highly smart due to their use of the english language?

All the characters in those comics act like robots but they're too busy patting themselves in the back to care.

Except Achewood
Achewood is love, Achewood is life

That said, I'm back!

these are comics he did for the Cartoon Commune Livejournal

More soon…

That reminds me, I never did a storytime this huge, what is the bump limit anyway?

300.

Thank you for doing this, by the way.

I know the guy who made these was some kind of colossal retarded nu-male faggot who did a kickstarter and burned a bunch of books before destroying his website outright or something.
His comics read like XKCD with more nihilism and less math, but the only thing I really hate about these are the over abundance of lower case letters.

I returned.

Here's some random assorted pictures and illustrations…

I'm gonna stop for now.

There's more stuff to put out: Micheal Keaton Comics, Hourly comics, that one he did when high… And the feud with Kate Beaton as well as the Kickstarter clusterfuck.

I'll post it later in another thread, since this one is close to bump limit

What is he trying to say here? if anything.
I'm trying to look at this like a metaphor, or apply the experience to my own life, but I'm not getting anything.

It's depressing, but more in a physical way than an emotional way.
I'm tired after reading it, but not sad.

It seems like it's just a formula being followed, with no real emotion behind it.
It's just (outlandish premise + outlandish desire) - outlandish setting.

(Ninja Hero + Defeat Supervillain) - World with Supervillains

You could put anything in there, draw it in black and white with monotone dialogue, and call it a sad comic.

(Talking Fish + Desire to be with humans) - Ability to Breathe out of water
