But, is right, you can't save everyone. I've had horribly depressed friends, even girlfriends, back when I was younger. I tried, but I wasn't mature enough to do much for them, and couldn't get them to get the help they really needed. Some got it eventually, other didn't. But you can only learn from what you've been through, and try to help the next person if you can, or have the wisdom to walk away if you can not.

I guess that's one good thing to get out of some of this stuff. Because not all of it is fantasitical, impossible edgy bullshit. Sometimes it's just all too real, human pain. And sometimes people just need to know another human being understands the worst they've ever felt.

I fully understand that. her life was a mess as it was her home life was shit her father ,more or less used her as a verbal punching bag and her mother turned a blind eye to it. being her friend then wouldn't have made a huge difference but considering her suicide attempt was shortly after my rejection of her friendship it fucks me up a bit to think about.

Having a shoulder to cry really does help, but you should have recommended her to go to a psychiatrist to take some pills and I don't mean this despectively, they help people a lot after the bad first weeks and after finding the exact type of pill and dosage.

Their depression eventually gets to you, but if you are strong, you should be able to endure it and help them during the whole process. It takes time to have the desired effect, and it takes time to get the right dosage figured out, so some people can't get through that initial wait. Those are the hardest times to support someone, because you know that taking the pills and figuring it out is the best for them, but they may actually be miserable through the whole process. It is an emotional drain to help another person that way, and I'm glad you were able to get through it and that it worked. Helping others, even when it's hard on us, is probably the single most human thing imaginable.

No hero is the first EEDGE Im finding myself interested in. The gore is more silly than obnoxious (Humans with the consistency of silly putty here), and as a result adds more levity.
