Asian tibetan buddhist here. Normally im only lurking here but i must share my experiences on buddhism. Most western buddhist groups are subverted and led by jews. Many tibetan and other asian monks know this and although they dont say it openly they know that jews are bad for buddhism. I have even talked about jewish problem with Buryatian and Tibetan monks of geluk school that is under his holiness. In practice almost all western buddhists are heretics that do not understand buddhism and propagate corrupted form of it to justify and give spiritual form to their hedonistic and universalistic feel good ideology. Real buddhism is not antiracist nor racist. All beings have innate potential to become Buddhas but there is qualitative difference between cultures and nations. Therefore possibility for awakening is much larger in nation where people follow morals and are compassionate. But compassion in buddhism is not any wishy washy sentimentalism. Sentimentalism is seen as poison in buddhism and very dangerous one for it masks itself as a good emotion. Unlike hatred or greed, its very hard to identify. Real compassion demands resolve and hard work and understanding that nothing comes easily. Real compassion means that if you sincerelly think that beating someone helps to overcome his pride then you beat him as example.

Also buddhism has concept of Icchantika non-aryan, being who is purely following hedonism. And done sutras say that killing icchantika is a good deed that liberates being from his wretched and deluded existence. In Mahaparinirvana sutra Buddha states that killing of icchantika is not a bad deed. The definition of an Icchantika would consist of those who are considered to be spiritual dead such as the skeptics, materialists and the communists. Although some sutras say that icchantikas can be saved through the power of Buddhas but its very hard. I think that many of the ruling elite of the western countries are icchantikas.

Yes even a negro can theoretically be enloghtened but why negro should be brought to the west? There is nothing in buddhism that supports artificially made problems and conflicts. Buddha always made it clear that monks and his followers must respect the laws and the customs of the land they are, no matter when and where as long as those customs do not include human savrifices or unnecessary violence.

A common misconception about Buddhists is that they're avowed pacifists. On the contrary, a Buddhist will defend their people and homeland should the need arise, they take a stance against "senseless" killings, that is killing for pleasure or because of petty slight. The reason they're vegetarian primarily is because they see harming an animal to be an unnecessary act, only doing so if they're going to starve to death otherwise.

The Tibetan Buddhists are constantly defending their country from those that would take it over, likewise they armed themselves and manage a militia. Its not something they enjoy, if they could they would certainly opt for a humble life of meditation and self reflection but you have to protect the people you care about, even the Buddha himself felt that way and he achieved enlightenment by removing himself from material possession.

Even if you don't want to practice Buddhism I strongly recommend meditation, its extremely relaxing and can help you look at your problems from another light. Just think of it as a breathing exercise if you want.

Yeah there is a huge difference between real Buddhism and new age Western bullshit passed off as Buddhism.

I don't think it's quite a fit, but I think it's a good influence. I meditate through long slow work, through walking in natural areas, through training the body. Through my experience, Buddhism has a deeper form of stationary meditation, rather than a constant mindfulness tied in with activity, with mind states or /fringe/ spells chosen for the environment, which I think is a better fit. It was part of my foundation, after passing a large portion of two summers in my mid-teens reading several books on Tibetan and Ch'an Buddhism and meditating both indoors and in the woods. I would recommend its study especially to anons who feel a high influence from video games or other distractions.
