Basically IQ just measures how "good" you are for the kinds of micro-tasks that comprise useful jobs in the western economy.

IQ doesn't measure self interest, self awareness, or awareness of society. These are the traits that allow people to become powerful. These are the traits that matter most for true success and freedom.

That is why they are devalued and worker traits are valued. The elite don't want a public society of competition. They want their private society where only the "worthy" can compete in a set fashion and they want the public to have a toy version of society that occupies them with work to support the super-society.
