For anyone trying to download the m3u8 links, I found a solution. May not be the easiest or most effective, but hey, it works. Need Firefox. Download addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper

Put link into url bar, hit enter, it'll prompt a download, cancel that, add-on should be lit up in upper right. Click that. Through there, you can download the links directly into MP4 format.

Handbrake or any equivalent soft, x265, cbr 350 or so ( should be good enough considering how lowres the source files are, if someone knows better chime in ). Don't reencode the audio, if we get too aggressive with that it might muffle what's going on in the background of some vids.

Try those settings on one of the smaller ones and see how it turns out.

For instance when I start downloading the three hour video jdownloader says it is 1.43 gb but it consistently stops downloading around the 60mgb or 8 minutes into the video. But the thing stuck out to me the most about the following videos wasn’t how they were talking to each other, necessarily. It was that these two didn’t seem to have a mother\daughter type relationship at all. It was almost as if they were roommates or something. If you knew nothing at all about this story, I doubt you would guess Katelyn was only 12.

As another shitty parent I find that Katelyn's mom did a good parenting job at least in the video of the fight they had. It starts with her and her mom fighting and suddenly the mom disengages and deescalates, and helps Katelyn expressing her feelings without feeling herself, the mom, threatened or questioned anymore. She suddenly realizes she wasn't on the spot and her daughter wasn't so much attacking her as she was needing to be heard. Good parenting. I have done much, much worse. Seriously boys, you're young. You don't know what it's like to be a parent. When I was your age I was horrified at how parents treated their children. Then I got children and I found out I was much worse.
I know her mom did lack in many areas but frankly she did good with what she had and she showed an ability to soothe down conflict and listen to her daughter. I know it wasn't enough but I'd blame the psych industry for affecting her ability to feel and act, and the feminist laws for putting her in charge of everything and thus alone and supportless and helpless as a single mom having to do the job of husband+wife, dad+mom.
Also dereligionization plays a role, as in if she was being integrated in a strong traditional religious community she wouldn't have been left alone to deal with her separation from the dad of her children, her loneliness, her poverty and the danger her children are in.
I have mommy issues, I tend to lash out and blame moms out of instinct, but I'm telling you: dont blame Katelyn's mom too much. For one thing, it wont be helpful. The people I wanna save now are Katelyn's siblings and her mom because they are all three at high risk through us releasing these videos. We can use them for Good, but others can use them easily for evil.
Once again, the real danger is called Child Protective Services. Please do everything you can to avoid those ghouls taking custody of Kate's siblings away from Kate's mom. They are a worse evil than even I know as an old conspifag.

By lining up the apparent position of things from two different stream views I make it here. It's hard to be precise when the google images are over six years old and many things could have changed.

At the 1 hour mark in this stream she points eh camera out her window to watch the some guys working on her road. You can see how bare a lot of the bushes are, and you can see guys walking around on the other side of the hedges. It's just crazy that nobody saw her. Perhaps it's because it was close to sunset, and if you're driving by fast you might have missed her. But there were sounds of vehicles stopping at the stop sign and turning onto Old Fish Creek Rd. If they just looked to the right they might have seen her.

It's hard to tell as we don't see the tree between the pool and her final spot. I'm guessing this truck is almost at the stop sign. Dunno if I have her window position correct as I've not learned the trailer interior yet.

This was her second to last stream, the morning of her suicide. She didn't look like she was planning on doing it that day based on the way she was acting. My guess is something happened during her daily skype call with Luke that pushed her over the edge.

It's horrible to think but, if somebody did see her and stop her, unless they got her out of that situation the save would only have been temporary. She already OD'd and nothing changed. She'd just be prodded and analysed by disinterested shrinks then given more prozac and sent on her way. It's all fucking depressing. In the future when her siblings were older (and calmer) and she was past the worst of puberty things could've been better but even sixteen is over the horizon when you're 12.

In the argument her mom says "whip their asses!" but obvioulsy never did that herself. When Katelyn says "I'm just a kid, I can't cope with this" it's bloody heartbreaking. As another user said, her mom treated her like a roommate rather than a daughter.

I've still been going through her streams and found a couple that happened on the 12th of December that are interesting.

First, you need to know that when Luke is in her chat she makes him admin, and if anyone starts to get too flirty with her or says anything sexual he bans them. During this particular stream she was being her usual self, sweet talking her BF Luke, then after the 54:30 mark she comes back to the room, reads something, and then says you guys should know "I'm back on the market, so you can say whatever you want on here."

This next stream comes right after that, it starts out with her sniffling, so she was probably crying. She says "me and my boyfriend just broke up."

This video also has some interesting stuff like her mom and her mom's BF arguing about pills in the background at the 5 minute mark. Then the Mom arguing about child support around 7 minutes (possibly on the phone with step-dad). Then at 18 minute mark her cousins come over and she retells story of bio-dad ignoring her, and step-dad touching her and the kids.

But anyways, it looks like Luke had already broken up with her at least once in the past, but we know they get back together because she continues to talk about him later, and she finds out about his "murder story" later on.

So it wouldn't surprise me if Luke broke up with her again, and said something really mean on the day of her suicide.

I think it's more a "straw that broke the camels back" sort of thing. She was already on edge with all that's happened to her. Some bad thing must have happened after that first video of that day, at which point she's finally done with it all.

She was all "Lukey pookie" on the first vid, then by the evening is "Luke, I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you." He had to have broken her heart in between streams.

I don't know what she was doing in the gap between 35 and 15 weeks.

But remember, her @roses.have.wilted went through several name changes. Some of the names it had were @dolly_loves_ben, @dolly_and_ethan, @dolly_is_in_love, @dolly_is_ugly, and @dolly_is_loved.

I got those names by reading through her instagram messages on the @roses.have.wilted account and the responses from some of her friends where they tagged her name at the time.

From what I understand you have to install live.me in a VM then click on each replay individually while running wireshark to get the m3u8 url. So if he deleted them are they gone for good? I'm not sure.

How were Katelyn's replays saved then? They were also deleted but we can still download them.

The only Katelyn livestream that was not functioning was the last one that was her suicide. We know that other users flagged that video so the company must have deleted them. I don't know if a deletion by a user is the same as a deletion by the company, in which case their might still be a backup of his streams on there. A comment on that youtube page said Luke deleted his past live.me vids.
