ITT underrated actionkino

What are some kino action movies that noone ever seems to talk about?

Crank wasn't kino.
I haven't seen the others, but people here generally praise Dredd.

Battle Royale was trash.

It isn't perfect but I define kino as
And for Crank that regard is its pacing.

My perfect action movie would be a combination of everything I posted:

Why? At the very least you must admit that the lighthouse scene was kino.

Shoot Em Up was breddy underrated

Why would they all shoot at a carrot?

...

...

The whole carrot gimmick is the dumbest part of the movie

One of my favorite bits of attention to detail is at :35, del toro checking for another clip but he's out. Hardly ever see little things like that.

Does that twist your panties, /k/? Clip.

I'm a no gunz in a no gunz country, there's no excuse for being wrong

Magazine, quite right. Usually better about that.

It has 10% on RT, so you know it's good. Prime Kurt Russell.

any film that's not on youtube in its entirety is probably garbage

wrong

oh wait shit I misheard carry on tbh

truefax

Too much screaming, here's a genuinely kino scene.

Not underrated maybe but practically forgotten.

John Woo is a real guy? I thought it was a joke name

Calling me out for being dumb means I trolled you lololollololollololollllollolllllllll
Any replies were troooollllled huehuehuehur

Battle Royale is absolute shit, compared to the book, and it's hardly even a thing compared to the manga.

Etc.

Das it mane

tbh the Killer is kind of lame. I mean it has some cool action here and there but the story and characters are so basic that it's kind of boring on repeated viewings. A Better Tomorrow is so much better.

What I liked about The Killer was that the action was the editing and action sequences were seamless. It's hard to describe, but it had rising and falling action in a micro scale until it naturally became larger.

Here's a leaked trailer of a remake that he's making. I watched the original movie that he based it on, and I tried to figure out how it would work until I saw the twist at the end.

Also, everyone is a fucking bullet sponge. The action scenes are so badly directed.

No it wasn't it was good.

...

Looking back at it now, it was weak. It's one of a kind and it's way better than the shakycam of HG.

Let's not forget Hard Target.

How come Brian Bosworth didn't go on to be a big star?

This is amazing tbh, true kino

I think Max Payne is really underrated. Sure, the plot might be boring, but the cinematography is beautiful, the editing is full of tension, visually it's a really pretty movie that really captured and improved upon the aesthetics of the game.
