Holla Forums, we are at a crossroads, a future that looks confusing and dim, and most dangerously, lacking in memes. You sneer, you jeer, but what was the lifeblood, the real lifeblood of our ancestor 4chan? It was the memes. Anyone can do fucking porn and gore. Any edgelord with no future and a Tor browser can post pedophilia. Any run-of-the-mill Google searcher with too much time and too little ethics can dox other people on the Internet. But what about the fresh funny memes?

It is 2017 Holla Forums and it is time to reflect on where this site is going. The top board is about the alt-right (embrace your name don't fight it), the 2nd best board is about Video Games, the 3rd best board is about Anime and Random shit, the 4th is about the alt-left. All the other boards below those, have their own little niche audiences and topics (fringe is a personal favorite) but not a large amount of influence over the rest of the site.

4chan will always be the Darth Vader to your Kylo Ren, Holla Forums, unless you choose to train yourself to be more than just a wannabe. This site has far superior organization and variety than 4chan and a larger active userbase than 4chan today. But what is the point without the memes?

The whole point of imageboards is the free flow of memes. Holla Forums has this edgy sense of freedom, to get away with whatever idea we want to, but ideas are memes. If we all spitball the same old ideas, or just spitball ideas with no uniform design in the slightest, the memes will never take form. Memeing is all about maintaining a balance between what is completely random, and what is old news. As of now, the present state of Holla Forums is one of old news and complete randomness with no balance between the two. Without this balance of the forces, we are not truly memeing. We are wannabes. An army of Kylo Rens screwing over the political world and posting shit with questionable legality, and failing to have a good kek-worthy meme in the process. Where did the fresh memes go? Did you all forget your souls in the process of trying to promote extreme politics and edgy garbage?

This is the superior imageboard. There are many like this board, but only this board is the best organized and has the best variety of users. But it will mean nothing, if the best of the best, is still not living up to its full potential. Manipulate the political world? Hey, impressive but could be funnier. Dox some jackasses on the internet? Hey, you did something important, but could be more memorable. Repost an old meme you wish deep in your heart was fresh and actually fucking funny? Well, you know what you wish you were doing deep down.

We all know, or at least those of us who sense the spirit of Holla Forums know, what we all wish we were doing right now. We want to make fresh new memes and have them be remembered. We do not want to be simple flashes in the pan of imageboard posting but to take part in making fresh new chapters in memeing history. Doxing and politics and gore and pedophilia are all sub-par, compared to the importance of memeing. Memes are what we live for. So if you feel as I feel, and sense this importance, this memetic energy which unites us all and without which divides us, then I tell you one and all, we must reinvigorate Holla Forums and there is only one good way to do that.

2017 must be Holla Forums's Meme Renaissance and we must all do our part to make fresh funny memes and contribute to empowering these memes. Post a screenshot or bad drawing, film a mundane yet slightly different action, photoshop company logos into dicks; it doesn't matter what form the meme takes as long as it is fresh and funny. Let us rise to the epitome of meme glory, or fall to the ashes of passive mundanity.
