JavaScript is used for websites and web applications, like the youtube video player, and is not a low level, exact language needed for video games. Unity supports JavaScript, but JS always has poor performance since its interpreted rather than compiled, (meaning that the code can't be executed directly) its far far far better to use C# instead. so the fact that he spent his time using and learning web coding language instead of learning C# proves that he had no real intention of making anything other than websites to shill for shekels.

Sargon isn't a professional developer. He's more of a hobbyist. You can develop games and not know some of the technical terminology. In this case he doesn't need to know what an IDE is because the IDE he's using (I watched one of his dev streams) is part of the Unity3D bundle. So he just calls it "Unity".

JavaScript is one of the two languages you can use to code your games on Unity3D, along with C#. So yeah… it is a 100% legit answer.

In case the previous explanations weren't good enough, for anyone else, here's how I'd explain it:

Programming languages work on levels. Low level programming languages (like C, C++, FORTRAN[if you wanna get obscure]), mid level programming languages that usually have virtual machines(Java, C#), and high level interpretive languages (Python, Ruby on Rails, Javascript).

The levels refer to how close to the hardware you are. The lower the level of the language you are, the closer you are to the hardware. Which language you should pick depends on what features you want it to have, and how efficient it needs to run.

Low level languages are very efficient, but you have to specifically program a lot of features into it (such as memory management). C++ tends to be the language of modern video games, because it's low level, allowing the programmers to utilize memory and processing power efficiently, letting them dedicate more resources to making sure the game runs smoothly and has lots of graphical/AI/game features.

However, Sargon picked Javascript (a high level interpretive language) and Unity (a complex, resource intensive engine), meaning that instead of his game being fast and efficient, it's going to be bogged down by the slow high level features inherent in JS and Unity.

If he were writing a website, or an office program, where being fast and efficient isn't a big deal, he could have gotten away with using JS for an engine, since you don't need high speed and intense efficiency (relative to modern computers, anyway). If you're wondering why anyone would use anything other than C/C++ for programming, the reason is that higher level languages can do a lot of work for you, and easier to import libraries. Libraries are pre-written chunks of code made by other programmers. They are very useful because it means you don't have to re-invent the wheel every single time you want to write a program.
