Supposedly searches multiple databases which sounds promising and they seem to cut the bullshit only caring about torrenting for torrenting's sake.
There's even a few neat features like pulling screens from video files so you can check the quality.

There's an incentive to seed; the incentive being if you don't seed, you get booted, meaning content is available about 90% of the time. Plus, there are communities that are built around specific forms of content (movies, games, etc), but I generally try to just focus on generals. Torrentday is pretty awesome.

Some user in the Holla Forums share threads also pointed me to btdb.in . It searches the DHT, so it doesn't host any torrent files.

Is it more fast, or more private to corporations trying to convict you? Because I can find just about everything I need through a search on TPB where plenty of people seed.

It's been a mixed bag as far; but still leaning way more toward faster. For about 10 torrents I find one (usually with one seeder) that is really slow. The admin team there does a good job of putting the popular torrents on their own seedboxes too, so the download speed saturates the percentage I gave torrent traffic on my router. It's more private too; I can torrent Family Guy without a C&D, so it passes for me. Invite only is great.

Of course, YMMV between private trackers.

Allow me to explain some stuff then.

There are many important factors to consider when judging musical quality.

0. Have working ears
The better your ears work the better you'll enjoy the sound, or… not if the sound is shit. Musically trained ears are great! If you know how to play an instrument or if you produce music you'll know what I mean.
1. Are you on a good setup?
Even if one component is shit the whole thing can sound shit. Make sure you have a good source to your DAC. Make sure you have a good amp from your DAC, and obviously make sure your headphones/speakers are actually decent and well powered.
2. Quality of music.
If you have a proper set up you will easily be able to tell the differences between different qualities of audio. Bitrate isn't as important as sample rate or bit depth. I have lots of songs in .FLAC that have bitrates under the standard of MP3. This doesn't mean the music sounds bad, it just means there is less going on. Likewise you should definitely be able to tell the difference between 44100Hz CD and a 192000Hz vinyl. FLAC isn't about quality (although that is an added benefit!) It's about archiving. 3. Source of the music. It's better to have audio ripped with an accurate log than it is to have a shitty rip. Buying music in .wav and .FLAC is easy through the web and you don't have to worry about bad rips most of the time, that is unless you aren't ripping them and you're listening to the physical disc or vinyl.
If you're listening to CD on a shitty CD player or an iPhone that has terrible sound reproduction through it's respective output, you should probably consider using something a little more high quality to listen to your music. Your grandma's $10 record player probably won't cut it.
4. Production.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter how the music is ripped or being listened to if the music production is garbage. If you're listening to Death Magnetic by Metallica it will most certainly sound worse than a proper rip by Led Zeppelin. Get better taste.
