What does Holla Forums think of the avatar cartoon and universe? I bingewatched all 3 seasons of the original and it was fantastic for a western cartoon. I've read part one of the comics that are supposed to continue aang's story but the promise feels sort of like nonsensical fanfanfiction. The comics are still going so I can't wait to see how shit the writing gets. I know Arron ehasz left after the cartoon.

One of the better non-comedy cartoons out there, but that whole "if I kill the bad guy I'm just as bad as him, so instead I'll do something much worse than death to him" morale pissed me off. Most kids' shows do that though, that "not stepping down to his level" shit. Thank God children can't transfer ethical concepts onto their own lives, 'cause that's stupid as fuck. It's like telling kids not to fight against oppression because reactive violence is inherently evil, like telling them to turn the other cheek. Kids' TV shows should just be free of moral questions altogether. Other than that – a pretty solid show, a comfy universe, the worldbuilding is pretty consistent and thought-thru for a children's cartoon.
