I hate the aesthetic of this decade. It's ugly, visually. And I absolutely loathe the thought that people will look back on their youth one day and shed a tear over ten hour chillstep mixes and pastel pink grid iPhone wallpapers. I don't think the average person will look back on the 2010s and think all that much about politics, I mean just look at the way people look back on the 80s – they think of pulp novels and synthesizers, not the Cold War and AIDS.

The Microcomputer, fuel-injection/fully electric vehicles, the Space Shuttle, satellite TV, the internet (What was developed in the 90s was the world-wide-web, something that utilized existing internet lines developed in the 80s) LCD screens.etc

The only real new technological development has been in the study of meta-materials like graphene as well as new understandings of physics. Other than that its just logical improvements on shit we already had been developing for the past 30 years

We'll see a few elections where the Green Party gets around 4% of the vote, showing the true number of progressives there are. The Democrats will attempt to rebrand themselves as moderates, and after around 40 years of Republican rule, it'll work.

In the meantime most progressive media networks will have squandered their parents fortunes and go out of business. NBC/Universal/GE or whatever will eventually file bankruptcy as they've made all of their networks extremely unprofitable, CNN will become the new MSNBC less extreme, but taking their place dead last in the ratings.

Most of the movie studios will be gobbled up by China. This will eventually escalate into a full culture war. Unfortunately China will likely win and dominate the film industry as they prefer to cast their movies with whites and asians (they put Matt Damon in the freaking Great Wall of China movie.)

Twitter will likely be sold to Google, New York and California will increasingly be seen as counter-culture, a meme like "the two towers" will spring up about the two media conglomerates controlling what the other 48 states see and hear. San Francisco will likely go bankrupt with the new sanctuary city laws.

Trump will be re-elected, then afterwards the Republicans will run Rubio and he'll win. Unfortunately they won't learn from their mistakes and the Republicans will then run progressives and fuck up the budget until the country get sick of it. The whole flat aesthetics point is to be as ergonomic and efficient as possible.
Ever since the 1890 and the 50's future has been described as an exaggeration of current aesthetics, usually falling flat to deliver due to cost saving choices or the end of people liking that style, at the end real technological advances are as simple as possible.
A flat metro design, based in the cities symbolism of their metro transportation is which is already thought to be as simple and understandable as possible gives a more realistic vision of the future.

Although I might be biased, even as a kid I enjoyed simplistic, efficient designs and thought past designs look like a clusterfuck.

For once I enjoy the modern cars designs based on the 2005's Chrysler LX base, and metro style if you know how to edit it in order and color.
