The intent of the vote is to ascertain the opinion of the concerned, politically-active citizenry in order to choose policy that they think is best for themselves.
This implies a whole lot of things being true:
1. That the citizenry is politically active
2. That the citizenry are relatively unified and resolve their disputes in a clear manner
3. That the citizenry are intelligent, responsible people who actually know what is best for themselves in a way that oligarchs or dictators wouldn't
4. That the citizenry have legitimate choice
Our citizens are not this. They are not politically active (they disdain politics), they don't reach a consensus (everything is divided to the most infinitesimal degree; whoever wins the vote doesn't do so by majority but by random chance giving them a few more votes), they are not intelligent or responsible people (the majority of them are either hedonistic progressives or sheepish Christians/cult-followers), nor do they know what is best for themselves. Plus, we don't even have legitimate choices. We're given two "choices." That's not a democracy. It's an illusion.
Our "democracy" is broken. The vote is useless.
Contingent upon a small, responsible government. We shouldn't be involved in foreign wars, the Federal government should be meek and feeble, and the purpose of government is only to provide functions and services to the people which it is most efficient for government itself to do. There shouldn't be things like social security, universal healthcare, pensions, etc. If we got rid of our currency manipulators and private central banks, which means a strong currency, people would simply save their money and live frugally. There wouldn't be a need for those socialist FDR programs and taxes would be minimal.
Their dual loyalty is even more treacherous than that of Christians. There is no "Christian state," but there is a "Jewish state." Whereas Christians typically place the "Kingdom of God" before their country of refuge, many Jews place the "Jewish State" before the American one. This results in the Israel lobby being used as a force to dupe us into favoring and benefiting Israel, greatly to our own detriment.
That aside, many Jews are also in positions of power with regard to central banking and other pernicious things, which gives them a degree of odium.
A fine thing, in the end, but I do have some concerns. Should corporations be allowed to outsource labor? It seems to be to the detriment of the national interest. I also feel that corporations should have more concern for the national interest in general. I don't feel the government should make this be, I just wish they were more responsible.
I like Ron Paul and Austrian economics.
Wasteful, bloated, excessive. I've covered this already in "taxes."
