I don't mean that as an insult, i mean shadman legitimately isn't very bright, he's really spergy, and he doesn't know how to interact with other human beings very well.

He was born in switzerland, he was a dumb metalhead most of his youth, you know, the kind of metalhead that is legitimately not very bright and just headbangs all day because he doesn't know anything else.
He went to art school.
Now, since shad has never been a bright kid, what he did was, he made a single site that contained his SFW art, and his NSFW art, making that single site his entire online portfolio.
Aside from that being a really dumb idea, the problem is that in terms of NSFW he did loli, gore, nazis, and a combiantion of all these elements.

The school teachers confronted him about this, literally pulled him in another building (i'm not kidding) and told him he was dangerous and a menace to society, and that they were expelling him, and additionally he had to turn himself in to the police.
He did turn himself to the police (again, not kidding, he's just that stupid), and got a stern talking, they didn't arrest him but they questioned him for half a day before sending him back home, where he was treated as a living failure by his parents.

This, along with him failing the driver's test more than 20 times (it's really hard to pass it in switzerland, and, again, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed) made him move to the US.
I think he first moved to canada, and then US proper, forgot about the details on that.
