If I were to see it irl, I'd obviously still get the reaction, but there is literally no benefit to not being desensitized if you're capable of thinking.

exactly. there is a reason why you can get ptsd or puke from watching someone get smashed apart or having to pick up pieces of a body and not from vidya or talmudvision. the biggest thing imo is the smell.
