I'm actually all for euthanasia. Those who oppose it are some of the most cruel sacks of shit ever. I've had members of my family who have suffered hell all their lives (over 50 years) because they had degenerative yet non-lethal diseases but couldn't do shit to help make it manageable because anything barely effective is way too fucking expensive. I can't count how many times I've heard them ask for someone to kill them, the pain was that unbearable. They didn't have the physical capacity to commit suicide so they were and are stuck in this state till they die if natural causes. This kind of thing I'd compare to a life sentence of torture yet some retards still would deny them the means to stop suffering without putting them and their family into debt for generations.

There needs to be strongly regulated guidelines for it though, to make sure no suicidal teenager is wiped off.

The only people who need ASSISTED suicide are the ones who can't drag themselves onto the train tracks even if you wheel them up to the station platform and turn away. People in a better position than that can do it themselves.

Even if there were no social problems at all, some unfortunate people would still get trapped in the position of wanting to die but not being able to without help.

I'm fine with people deciding to die under certain circumstances though. Frankly the assumption we currently use that keeping someone alive is frequently perverse and selfish: young families every day preserve the lives of their frail, suffering, barely conscious elders, and for what? I saw my other grandmother go the way of the nursing home and it's an absolute nightmare for her, my father, and the family. medical bills, government taking the estate for the bills, the time taking care of all the stuff, and taking care of an extra home just for it to go to the state. it's also a huge burden on taxes, both of them are on medicare and state funded stuff and have been for the last 20 or so years at least. even a DNR doesn't mean shit when they're both so drugged up for anything to take effect.
