wincucks deserve every inconvenience they get

lincucks users btfo

could you still just switch and never use Linux ever

ebin

I dual boot OpenBSD and TempleOS.
Now what mickeysoft?

Did it cause millions of >no such partitions?

...

(√'d)

Thank you for the warning user. I seriously am beginning to hate Microsoft.

>$.25 has been deposited to you're account

Right when I was actually going to try wangblows 10...

...

Which why it's best to just virtualize this cancer.

...

...

What's "square rooted"? Is it an epin new maymay?

All versions of windows are the same shit and spy you equally. Except maybe XP and older
If i wasn't too paranoid to break my MBR again with grub when trying to switch distros i would be using GNU/Linux and forget about windows forever, the only real advantage Windows 7 has got over 10 and 8.1 is not having app store shit.

Year of the Linux Windows Desktop.

WIN10 CUCKS BTFO

They do it out of love

...

What a great service, rescuing hapless normals from the perils of Linux aka Computer AIDS.

Windows 10 is so dystopian-tier bad that I can't do anything but laugh at it.

windows 7 forever

...

Love how all the evidence these articles have are the same couple of tweets.

speaking of cli and linux tools, am really digging the bash console and the rest of the linux userland they added to windows 10.

I'm GNU/Linux user, but what features does Windows lack?tsknbwntjxd

What exactly did you try to do there?

7/10

clean up your fonts for better score, otherwise breddy gud.

The person you're replying to probably meant more under the hood stuff, but it's even just stuff like freedesktop/X11. There are few seemingly trivial bet really useful features like middle mouse button paste, or the fact that you can usually do mouse-down to trigger a menu and mouse-up to select the item, whereas in windows you usually have to mouse-down+mouse-up to make the menu show up and again to select the item.

isn't this fake? someoneo hacked foss hub and put a virus in

two things I've noticed on other peoples' computers that aren't so under-the-hood: you need to download third-party applications to do a disk image or run a checksum (not that you would ever need to do that last one, since literally every windows program relies on "just download & run the .exe my friend")

Worst issue I had with win7 is that it doesn't support "unsigned drivers" which basically means you have to go into safe mode using special programs to use drivers which aren't "officially approved" for use with the win7 system. I was making a controller adapter for an old controller and ran into that issue once.

It costs driver manufacturers money to get them to be "officially approved" for win7.

Primarily a decent shell and the ability to run it with less than 100 mb of RAM. Also killer apps like i3, xfce, guake, and emerge.

Windows 7 doesnt have this kind of problems

Don't update that file?

Maybe Win10 will be modified by some user in the future to be safe
Or it will be finally the age of linux

not really, look at all idiots sharing their personal data via facebook and other social sites. They don't care about safty or privacy. Also "normal" people are not intrested in linux because they are lazy, they want to use popular programs, popular systems and do popular things without any dedication to them.

BTC0.0025 has been deposited into your DesignatedWallet™ account.

Now normies have even less reasons to switch. Whenever you tell them, they'll just say they can use the Loonix shell from Wangblows.

More like they want to press a big round button and have the computer guess what they want to do automagically.

This is outcome of doing popular things without any dedication to them. They can't do popular thing well because they lack dedication so they want big round button which will solve all problems for them.

windows has been fucking with dual boot partitions for the longest time now. its what you get for using proprietary software.

This. Especially if you are trying to install Windows on a disk with Linux already on it. LOL TOO BAD UR WINDOWS NOW

and water is wet

YOU ONLY HAD TO LISTEN

Only when devs give a fuck about the desktop, which will be approximately never ever.

I hurt you because I love you.

Holy shit I never realized how Jewish he was.

Luckily I run Windows 10 locked up in a cage (VM) like a bad kid who won't play nice.

You don't need other operating systems. I'll get rid of them for you. I'm the only one you need. I won't let anyone get in our way.

Most claim that they don't care about the government having all of their info

Don't know if they are shills or just fools

A patch must be done in 3 or 5 years or we are in for some bad stuff

fuck off

Is there any evidence this happens on OS X Bootcamp?

that's implying bootcamp even fucking works 90% of the time

Shit, that was my captcha on Overchan app probably.

Linux is shit anyway. No loss even compared to NSAdows 10. :^)

...

All in the name of user security and convenience, I assure you.

Yes goy, nothing to do with making it harder to create malware that LARPs as drivers goy.

I'm going to have to disagree with the statement:
with regards to Windows 8.1 and below
Because it's never been proven. If you can prove it then we can talk.

It's all preference when it comes to version though. Except Windows 7 still has a majority of support when it comes to applications, where XP and below need modifications for most newer things.

As for paying extra money it's a paid product and you don't expect them to be faggots about it? Most people pirate the OS anyway or use devices with it pre-installed so usually no one pays anything extra to use Windows.

Most software for windows is distributed via plain unprotected http, and there are no checksums (or they are served by plain http too), and when you open it, guess what? there's no digital signature, too.

So when you install something, you have zero chance to see if the file was replaced by trojan horse.

(there are some attempts to make a "package" manager similar to homebrew/caskroom, but I don't know if it works good. and of course, it's hard to explain to shindows normies why do they need to use it.)

And this is important, because it's provably impossible for "antiviruses" to detect ALL cases. Actually it's almost trivial to fool them. The only thing they give is false sense of security and "protection" from keygens for "pirated" software (this is what windoze users often have instead of free software)

Windows also eats battery like crazy, even if we compare with OS X, it's almost 2 times worse.

Standard windows shell is some non-standard and ugly crap, it doesn't even work properly with Unicode symbols, even in 2016 they could not fix it. Shell emulators which provide similar environment to *nix will be always second class citizens because that's not native to the system. And currently the installation of such tools takes huge amounts of disk space.

Windows audio system is shit, you can't get reliable audio playback, it will cause drop-outs sometimes.

Windows font rendering is awful and can be considered one of the biggest crimes in the century. Read more about this: antigrain.com/research/font_rasterization/#toc0002

smh tbh fam

I see nothing wrong with this.

A shekel for the good goyim.

Pipe menus nigga. Can you access your entire file directory via a menu from a simple desktop click or key shortcut without some third party bloatware in Windows?

What am wrong with that?

openbox user here, but i can't say i ever want to use my menus in such a way

Do that if you like I, do mine the fast and easy way. Make sure to disable network connectivity for Windows esp., if your going to enable Guest Additions.
