I remember one of the reasons I left that place being the amount of shit posts one would be bombarded with upon writing anything negative about SJW narratives in games. People un-ironically say 'Goobergate' - I was never even a part of Gamergate.

I don't think there is really a need for one though. If you are trying to figure out what anime a image is from you can use a reverse image search and if you want to know more anime similar to one you liked there is a tab for doing just that on MAL. That being said one general wouldn't hurt that much since its not like there is that much traffic competing for catalog space.
