I already read it before, but I will say that what pisses me off is how generic the stands are. I mean, I get it, he's stealing shamelessly. But if you at least has some interesting designs, it would at least be an interesting fan rip off. But the stands are shit you would find in a "how to draw comics" book for children. Generic, uninspired, boring.
Don't suppose you got Adam Warren's Mangaverse Fantastic Four book? It's shamelessly an Evangelion homage, and knows the reader is aware of it as well. It did a pretty good job of combining FF and Eva, so I think it would be a good contrast to this. That is, if you wanted to just make this a "Western books trying to be Eastern books" thread, which could have a lot more to talk about. I mean, there is the whole of the Marvel Mangaverse and DC did a similar thing a few years after, if I recall.
