Bombshells is a weird case.

DC taking note of this decided to release a bunch of variant covers about it, which were highly successful. Then they did it a second time, which were also successful.

The thing, though, is that there weren't any female characters left, not popular ones, at least, that they could use, so they released variant covers reinmagining the male characters. Shit was highly successful.

DC seeing the success the statues and the covers had decided to create a comic. Knowing that the girls were the most important part they knew shit had to attract female readers first, but since the whole thing is about sex appeal, the girls also need to be hot. And because the male characters had become successful as well there had to be male characters in it, but not in an important role, but then how to use them? Easy, they became "husbandus".

So you now has this comic that take place in the 40's and where all the characters are hot and needy, and they're shitton of lesbos and bissexuals, but also bunch of ladies lusting like crazy about men.

But otherwise, that thinking is what drives me. Even before SJWs became a thing in particular, it was pretty clear the only way I could truly create what I want is to do it myself. Major media by and large hasn't been making what I want, and by extension what I'd want to make, for a long time now.
