There are so many flaws with this study it isn't even funny, but if you want the final blow to this study you can find it in figure 3. Compare the number of pull requests made by females compared to the number made by males. The reason that Women seemingly get a higher acceptance rate is because they make a metric fuckton of pull requests compared to men.

Now in the study's defense, it does try to address this, however I can tell many people in the study are not programers because they fail to understand the importance of this. Making massive numbers of pull requests is a pretty good sign of re-writing code to fix glitches after it has been initially pushed. More code pushed makes more code to fix. More code to fix makes more code to push.

In my mind the "perfect" contributor is a person who only pushes 2-3 new stable things a week. I want quality, not quantity.

I never met anyone outside of college who programs and the people from college are all terrible at "programming".
