When I think back to the '90s for good music, I'm stumped.

This was back when CDs were still king and new releases were usually expensive, $13-15 which was a lotta money for a kid with no job in the '90s. It wasn't until later that Napster, et al came about, but due to dialup speeds, downloading full albums, much less rarer stuff, was unfeasible.

In retrospect, most of the pop music was garbage, as it is today. It's worse today though because of the hip-hop takeover of pop. In the '00s we had somewhat of a reprieve as post-hardcore really made a splash.

In terms of metal, I would say it was the best decade. The '90s wasn't bad either, in that regard.
