During the time he was with us, he had shown himself to be a very capable individual and one of the finest men I had the pleasure of meeting. I sincerely hope the knowledge that Wainwright was an exemplary soldier who died while serving his country will comfort you in this hour of great sorrow.

Wainwright's enthusiasm and devotion to duty marked him as an outstanding soldier, and as such, he commanded the respect of his superiors as well as his fellow platoon members. He displayed the finest example of soldierly bearing, discipline, and conduct. I am proud to have served with him.

A memorial service was held for Wainwright at the unit's base camp. The officers and men of the Georgian Light Infantry were all in attendance.

This is a really good point. Think about the average person you know. Almost nobody has food in their house that will last more than a few weeks. Most all grocery stores use just in time delivery and don't have large stockpiles on hand. Just last year there was a winter storm in the north and it held up a delivery truck to my grocery store in the south, it was two days late and by then they were already running out of staple items. Now imagine if there is a civil war and everything gets raided within a week and supply lines/distribution stops. People would go hungry extremely quickly.
