You know, people keep saying that but i gave it a look lately and all i've seen were threads about video game discussion mostly.

What ended up being deleted was the gamergate shit.
And if you check the gamergate general on our Holla Forums it's literally a huge circlejerk and copy paste of the same 3 infograph posts with non stop shitposting and people posting anime reaction images, it reminds me of the MLP generals Holla Forums used to have.
Makes me think that keeping GG away from Holla Forums was the right idea all along, considering the shitshow it turned into.

gamergate moved to youtube, it took a life on it's own,changed it's objectives and allied with mgtow, no need to cling to it anymore.

Gamergate did what it wanted to already, its been basically over for awhile now. And it wasn't just gamergate, the mods on 4chan where hammering down on posts on Holla Forums as well.

Like or not Holla Forums exists in large part cause it dosen't censor things on a categorical basis, other than now of course pedo shit. (Thankfully that was never a thing on the two biggest boards here, pedo pol and pedo v would be worse than a million gamergaters). Without gamergate things would never have boiled over on 4chan, the good thing about here is, if a movement wasn't allowed someone could merely make their own board.

Gamergate is the reason this site got popular. And I was with gamergate in the beggining doing digging, posting on twitter etc. I left it behind cause it eventually got dumb (around febuary of 2015 I left it myself).

Holla Forums represents a platform. And gamergate was the reason that platform ever got much attention, without gamergate, this would be a rather obscure imageboard and not the second biggest english language one.
