What has happened to the intellectual left? It seems like the left has lost its intelligent thought. It seems like its just morphed into your average pink hair and problem glasses college kid that calls herself/himself intelligent. The only people on the left that i could consider being somewhat intelligent are the globalist leaders like Soros, Hillary or Bill Gates. Has our enemy really just become nothing but power in numbers?

The left was never intellectual, only over-educated rich/nobles with too much spare time that started doing mental gimnastics with beautiful prose for the sake of boosting their egos.

What you have now in the Left is that those same ideas became Vulgar, thus appearing less "intellectual" - something they never were in the first place.

The leftist mindset pushes the world further and further towards total equality by demonizing the over and grandstanding the under. It seems they've recently accelerated this notion as we gain more and more knowledge that rejects the whole blank slate ideal. As you do this you silence the very voices that add rigor and intelligence to your doctrine or ideology. Before long, you start spiraling into complete insanity as the average person (myself included) doesn't have the mental willpower to create ideological axioms and rulesets that maintain consistency across the board (or at least operate well in "most cases" without another long list of caveats).

It probably won't be long before we start seeing TED talks and college lectures led by people with actual, certifiable mental retardation.

Those people are the definition of intellectual. However, being an intellectual is a bad thing.

When was it intellectual? It was always about warm, fuzzy feelings. They are currently outraged over the murder of a gorilla. Normal people wanted to avoid a little kid getting its limb torn apart in front of everybody, so the gorilla was shot as soon as possible. But the left is upset. The situation could have been handled more effeminately. No practical solutions offered, just statements describing how their delicate sensibilities are offended.

If only they sent a white women into the pit to have sexual relations with the gorilla, that would have been more politically correct.
