I'm down. Never been a Christian, but I am thinking of joining an Orthodox Church.

Join a baptist church, I switched from orthodoxy to independent baptist last year for a number of reasons. I've learned more about the bible, God and life in general just in the last 8 months than all of my time as an orthodox and previously as a catholic. Those churches have countless doctrines that are downright contrary to the bible to the point of heresy and wont get you saved.

Also this might sound strange but the sermons in the orthodox church are really boring and you'll find that you're never really retaining what they're saying, and if I had a better platform to speak on I could list a whole number of biblical reasons for that too.

Google the sinners prayer and ask Jesus to save you. that's where to start even before you start going to church.

I can get behind God, the Soul and the concept of the holy spirit, but I've never liked the idea of heaven. I don't see any reason why god would create an arbitrary domain for the infinite joy/pleasure of the objects he himself created.

I feel like its a bit anthropomorphising towards god. Even before I read the bible and found the Christian god, I always felt that god was the totality of all truth. Like when things happened a certain way, that was because of god, like things happened this way and only this way.

I don't see any reason why the soul would be preserved, I've always found it to be a lot more humble to just simply admit that you will stop existing once you die and that other people will take your place and enjoy the life that you too enjoyed.
