as an experiment, I downloaded all the images currently on Holla Forums and ran a steganography detection tool on them.
Nearly all of the image with ponies came back positive, I traced it back to the cyclical pony thread.
Have you ever wondered why they always post picture with every reply?
They are using strong encryption so it it's difficult to tell what they are hiding, but I managed to crack one: It was a link to a 3 year old baby boy being raped.
Or maybe just ban it because it doesn't belong on this, or really any board.

im pretty sure Holla Forums (and clownfare) strip extra bytes off the end of pictures that would normally be used to do this kind of thing. So unless there are bits of child porn strung between the normal picture's bits, I doubt there is porn in these horse pictures.

Strictly, the kind of steganography OP is talking about probably involves doing exactly that - say, every other pixel's alpha value is one byte of the link/image/etc. that you are encoding into it. So, in theory, OP could be correct, but fuck me if he's gonna give any evidence other than "they're horsefuckers they must be diddlers".

almost all stenography can be detected by a skilled analyst. They might not be able to crack it, but they might assume you knew about it and force you to give up the password.

Rubbish. Good steno can't be detected because it requires information which is missing from the image alone. The modulation of the least significant data is indistingliable from random noise.
