Using altright as essentially Holla Forums's twitter outreach program is highly effective, we just need to make sure to pounce hard on any attempted co-opting before it's allowed any traction. The reality is this is ALWAYS a concern regardless.

Also very important to point out is that co-option is most effective after a DIVIDE, allowing them to CONQUER one, or both of the sides. This is why we should never allow ourselves to be fractured from the altright unless we want to lose our sway over it.

1. 4chan has been an incredibly good scapegoat for our activities because of their longer-standing presence and similar name. Old media journalists are going to be very VERY slow to actually have the nuance to change that 4 to an 8.
Some people don't like that we get our credit (Wrong priorities, btw), but I think its accurate to surmise that THEY'RE the ones getting the most actual, real GOP/Cruz and then Clinton shills, while we've been getting mostly goon imposters.

2. If our memes become big (read: if we start to actually succeed) we WILL start to gain profile. This is an inevitable accompaniment of success, regardless of whether the Alt-right spreads our memes, or a group with any other title.

The fact is, it lets us maintain a bit of DISTANCE to have the so-called "alt-right" acting as our proxy. But even without them, it would be a coward's argument to say that we should avoid success because of its more unfortunate consequences.
