I think Rugrats was very memorable and full of charm for the first little bit, and it definitely jumpstarted the 90's renaissance of cartoons that lasted over a decade…but the creators couldn't help but reveal their jew level and eventually dragged the whole thing down into irredeemable cringe. As a kid, I watched it up until the second movie, when even at that age, I could see they had an agenda. Looking back, I'm not even sure the first movie was that great of an idea.

And don't forget the supergenius, well-spoken, rich Carmichael family. Give me a fucking break.

They say that but is clearly obvious that Angelica is having a very spoiled upbringing and becoming a really undesirable person.

To the point that in "All Grown Up" she's hot, and has great fashion sense but I don't think she has any actual friend besides that beta follower that she learns to appreciate thanks to her interactions with the other kids.

Watched the early 90's season episodes a few years back, they hold up pretty well for something that came out 20 years ago.

There even things like the minor story arc of Stu selling his toy idea at the start of the season, him designing said toy/doll and then an episode later where his has a big machine in the basement making them.

The only things that date them are really a few minor references to celebrities (maybe 2-3 episodes) and the use of 90's tech, VCR, cassettes, cellphones only used by business types.

I liked it, tough I must admitt, I only liked the pre Dil Stuff, and I didnt even bothered with post Kimi stuff so i didnt even remember an episode of that "era".

Never really got the appeal of this show, as I kid I watched it but I was fucking stupid kid.

Now I can't get passed the ugly looking animation in the first couple of episodes and the bland plots of "Babies think something is like this but it's really not".

This show (along with The Simpsons) was basically my childhood when it came to animated series. I loved watching it, and the writing was enjoyable enough that it's one of those shows your parents can enjoy watching it with you (woe be upon parents who had to watch Fanboy & Chum Chum and Breadwinners with their kids). I haven't seen it in years but I now get all the jokes from episodes I remember. Not necessarily crude ones, just stuff that would fly over kids heads.

Never got the bawwing about muh artstyle. It's unique and it works. I mean yeah, it was ugly in the earliest seasons, but I see nothing wrong with it after it improved visually.

A big deal with Angelica's parents is they're both business-crazy and driven (hence why dropping off Angelica with her uncle all the time) and so with Angelica old enough to ask questions, they have to keep up the parental thing of being right all the time and having all the answers. Which of course gets funny when Angelica picks up on more than they think she does and asks questions they don't have easy answers to.
