Not really anymore, the dipshit writers have their heads so far up their asses they think repeatedly trying to make the show a tacky Evangelion knockoff is an excellent idea despite tanking viewership and negative fan reception. Compound that with the tone of the show drifting towards near-worship of the prominent female characters, hamfisting Marceline and Bubblegum together to the delight of nobody but yuri shippers, and attempting to thrust Finn out of the spotlight at all costs.

Hell, I can't think of any of the voice-actors that still really speak positively of the show themselves, I'm aware Finn's VA is frustrated as all hell by people holding him responsible for the character being shit on for no real reason, Marceline's VA thinks all the yuri art of her character and PB is fucking creepy and Flame Princess's VA very much enjoyed the relationship between FP and Finn and wants to see it return.

Aside from porn, it's a shit show, the writers are cucks who like to project their insecurities onto the main protagonist, cucking him at every turn

All that compounded with things that went absolutely nowhere like PB being reborn as a 13-year-old after blowing up and having her gum reassembled and then going back to normal a short time later because the writers simultaneously realized they wouldn't be able to shit on Finn with PB canonically having the hots for him and now being the same age, FP and Finn splitting up over Finn being so fucking stupid as to be out-of-character (and FP being "given" to Cinnamon Bun who is magically not a retard whenever staff needs him to be to drive the point home even further), things like that.

Show's a mess of ripoffs, half-baked ideas and trying to be serious when it really doesn't need to be. In hindsight there's probably a reason nobody picked the show up until CN changed hands.

A mess, that's what the show is, a bloody mess that had the potential to go down as a great show, all because the writers turned out to be hacks who not only had to shove up their insecurities and mental problems but also their ideologies and incompetence

It was basically an episode that was just stupid, gay and shit. It wasn't a drastic change from anything that was already going on, but it was basically the straw that broke the camels back. For whatever reason, lots of the suckers still watching at that point finally decided "ok this is just bad, it's never going to get better, and it's time to stop watching."

Well, it was the show that dug CN out of the "real" phase before 2010.
Along with Regular Show, it was surreal, quirky (albeit Spencers/Hot Topic quirky), and was quite the departure from other CN shows at the time - art and writing wise.
While I did find the show's initial seasons to be charming, the hipster/Scott Pilgrim writing definitely becomes stale and it pisses me off to no end that everyone is now trying to imitate the AT formula.

At least Rick and Morty fucking treated that on a meta level, since it is a comedy show. Doing it seriously is just fucking wrong.

It legitimately could've lasted forever given the world of Ooo is absolutely infested with dungeons and ruled by kingdoms of people themed around one particular concept, object or natural law along with more bizarre ones like Lumpy Space. If it were treated as an infinite D&D campaign of one-off adventures with Finn getting experience, artifacts, weaponry and armor along the way like the original fucking design entailed it would've been spectacular, but all the talent left and even Rebecca Sugar contributed to it being a drama-filled musical (note Steven Universe's general pacing and lack of focus due to Sugar having like-minded writers/nobody to wrangle her in on the writing team)

An argument could be made that they downgrade of quality is small enough to be bearable in S5 part 2. The season finale and the first episode of S6 at the very least are actually worth watching and serve as a good capstone on what AT could have been.

Definitely don't watch any farther than the first two or three episodes of S6 though, past that point the show gets inexcusably bad.
