I think that's a great term. It's funny how all the pejoratives the opposition struggles to come up with always backfire on them, like "Dangerous Donald." 1488er is a great name.

I only promote flat earth theory for the intellectual challenge of promoting something thats obviously wrong. It's quite a stretch on the mind, and it shows in a way how hard it is to leave certain ideas, even temporarily , for the promotion of something else. Its a good mindbender.
Altough i know some people seem get almost offended by the idea of the flat earth to such a degree that they feel I should be censored, which is shame, since the dialogues coming from flat earth debates are very amusing.

I think there's a balancing act going on when trying to redpill. The more you diverge from their programming, the less likely the target is to be swayed. However, if you show someone the entire truth and he doesn't reject it then that is obviously preferable to a half truth. I think that discussion concerning this balance is good because it helps provide a strategy for those that wish to spread their message to others.

The best example of this balancing game I can think of is the holocaust. Should we try to show people that it's all a hoax done to provoke and abuse sympathy? If your audience doesn't just dismiss it all, then this would be a good route to take. However, I can also see the benefits in not gambling with holocaust denial.

With a message like this you'd be less likely to alienate support and the message of what to do wouldn't be drastically altered.

However, this balancing act simply doesn't apply to flat earth theory. Even if it's true, what good will it do to try convincing people? Our borders will retain their shapes even if the earth isn't a sphere. A flat earth does not have anything to do with nationalism, and nationalism is what unifies us. Thus, a flat earth message has very little linking it to the message most Holla Forumsacks are spreading. It will not help make Europe and America white again, and it thus provides little of value. However, it will certainly make your message less digestible. This is not a trade off; it is purely a handicap. The entire world is against us already, and I don't think we need to give ourselves a harder time by becoming a blanket movement for any fringe element (or shill. It really doesn't matter honestly.) that wants in the spotlight.
