I just watched Fantastic Mr. Fox. It is fucking brilliant.

None, stop motion is terrifying

Great cast
especially Wilem Dafoe

Which is why it's great for films that either have a horror theme or intentionally trying to be a bit surreal or off-beat.

Coraline
Paranorman
Wallace and Gromit

Mary and Max

Anomalisa

Also Boxtrolls

Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!

Basically, if you're looking for stop-motion, you can't go wrong with Aardman.

their dc nation shorts were shit

Just watched it, the plot is just ok but dammit user.
The movie completly talks through its visuals is truly good directing.

This was actually pretty damn funny.

Underrated by normies and overrated by Holla Forumss as usual.
Looks pretty awesome though.

I didn't know they did any.

...

I can't think of a Wallace and Gromit feature I didn't like.

A Matter of Loaf and Death was pretty forgettable.

Lavender Castle. I am really impressed details with this short lived serie.

...

You could say it was fantastic

Great movie and was surprised by the plot. And that was due to the trailers that did a good job of not spoiling the movie.

And then it turned out that was a deliberate choice due to a main character being Charles Darwin who is "controversial" to the US's religious folk.

A Town Called Panic was a fun movie.

The Adventures of Mark Twain. I know everyone's already seen this scene but the rest of the film is great as well.

Are there any tutorials or books for making stop motion films? Is it realistic for one person to be able to make anything of any significant quality?

My love for traditional art and animation has seemed to hit a wall. Lately I've become very interested in stop motion and puppeteering though. I figure I may try and shift my focus.

Art Clokey made Gumbasia by himself

A lot of stuff involving George Pal's Puppetoons, including segments in Tom Thumb and The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm.

Laika's technique of 3D-printing stop motion figures is a modernization of the process used by Pal's team, which used individually-carved wood figurines.

This was made by one guy. It's doable.

This guy and PESFilms (who created that "Fresh Guacamole" short I'm sure you've seen by now) are pretty rad.

OH FUCK YES

I love his work. Can't wait for more movies. He's working on a sequel.

I watched this when it first came out.
It's a
DAMN SHAME
it doesn't even have 1 million views yet. Share this shit.

BOGGIS BUNCE AND BEAN

Pretty good site to pirate shit.

So it's just Creature Comforts but with superheroes?

Pretty much

Anyone seen Thingu, the Pingu/The Thing crossover, from Lee Hardcastle. (That was then banned from his channel).

Its creepy

Haha, I can imagination the nightmares those preschoolers are getting into it for searching shitty youtube videos.

Pinchcliffe Grand Prix is an alright children's movie with good visuals

There's seemingly no full version of it to be found anywhere on the web though

...

If there are any spanish speakers here, this film is good too.

I remember MTV playing Tool's Sober music video all the time. It was directed by Fred Stuhr who has some more stop-motion animations up on youtube.

Phew, talk about a nostalgia rush. A converse commerical by Fred Stuhr.

It's kinda progressive considering the only characters are a gay couple, but I liked it as a kid.

Holy fucking shit I REMEMBER this short, it was featured on Peewee's playhouse and I remember my dad recording it on an old VCR tape and I used to watch this episode all the time. Thanks for this gem user!

I'm fairly confident that the intent was two /diy/ guys doing stupid shit, because it seemed like it would be fun to make and fun to watch, and pretty much anything beyond that is just a headcanon. They're even shown to live in different apartments in most episodes, I think.

...

(spoilers)

Yes.

Fuck off, you pussies. I've grown up on stop motion, you get used to it.

...

Just seen this one recently. Toys in the Attic. It won't blow your mind but it is worth watching once.

Meh, they don't seem homo compare to those two.

Meh, it could be be we just are uses too seeing sexual innuendo with buddy characters.

No. In Dutch the series is even called "neighbor and neighbor".

Don't forget these two.

Rob Paulsen and Jess Harnell do a fantastic double-act

Both originally Mel voices, right?

Didn't Hey Arnold originate as a stop-motion cartoon?

The guy just uploaded a new video. Not much, but it's nice to know the sequel's still coming along.

I do like this one

I think so, yes.

Yes. I've seen it, it looks rough.
Here.

Did these air on Pee-wee's Playhouse, or was it just Penny?

bump

Stop-motion animation is still animation ya dingus

bump

I loved these two as a kid.

...

Completely forgot how amazingly good the animation in this video was.

Looks more like puppetry than stop-motion at some points.

I like that one. The devil is damn cool.

Whoops, didn't see Tom Thumb's already been posted.

I love that movie so fucking much.

Fairly sure that's Tom Waits

This is god damn terrifying.
